View Full Version : If HSC had TWO more songs it'd be their best album

It needs one more instrumental and one more hardcore song. (Or maybe even two hardcore songs if you don't count LMCA)
THEN and only then would it be perfection.

y'know, I definitely thought something similar. just one of each kind (amid all other hip-hop cuts) sets a sort of disbalance in some ways. would the album have benefited by one more of each? absolutely (IMO). but can i complain? no. it's by no means a devastating scenario without them either. it's still a heat rock nonetheless.
i catch your drift though.

Having a certain amount and types of songs would be following a formula and their albums should never follow a formula.

I love Beastie instrumentals, but I don't think MLND fits with the rest of this album. I wouldn't be opposed to two more songs along the lines of "Lee Majors" and "Say it"

hsc2's length is it strength. Amount of songs just right, nay filler.
What if each song was 15 seconds longer, would that have the same effect?

Yes another Say It would make it soooo solid.

In its current form, it melts away into one continuous listening experience.
I wouldn't change a thing. Someone here called it a greatest hits album with all new songs and I loved the quote...so true.

I like it the was way it is too, actually. One instrumental is enough for that record. I love hardcore (my favorite genre actually), but I feel HC isn't the B-Boys strong suite.

Greatest album of all time!!! No throw away tracks or corny singles. It's a tribute to their fans who love the more obscure stuff.
