Embrace it, I started taking multi-vitamins that give me all the greens and everything else I needed in my diet and haven't napped since :(

fight it

naps just fuck you up later on in the night when it's time to get some real sleep. then you're all out of whack the next day.

Rules for siesta:

A siesta needs to happen before 2pm, never to late
A siesta should not be in your bed, either couch or recliner … don’t get to comfortable
A siesta should not exceed 20 minutes
The first time you wake up from a siesta, you get up, never go down from round 2
enjoy...

Yeah, I tried the Echewta as a pillow thing once, but he's kind of lumpy.

This has been the evening. I've been waking up at 5am after just nodding off on my couch at around 7-9pm.

It is messing with my sleep and it's since I've become unemployed. I'm working out more but there is only so much in a day I can find to do that doesn't send me to sleep or has be staring at a screen for 10+ hours a day.

Been drinking to but not as much as I did when I worked.

5am wake ups are ok, I don't mind - I am a morning person anyway but I can see this merging into a falling asleep at 8pm and waking up 3am thing.

All I can think to do is work out more - maybe swimming in the morning as I do now and then gym in the evening before I have food. That way I'll come in late with some sort of routine.

I know these aren't major problems getting too much sleep, drinking less, working out more and having a fairly stress-free lifestyle but I like to moan.

That almost sounds like the beginning of some Travis Bickle monologue.

If that's the case then add me to the Bickle list. My sleeping patterns are fuckried recently due to these naps. It's just so hot and stressful getting to and from work here (traffic, beggars & urchins, the potent smell of human shit, car crashes etc.) that by the time I get in at 6.30 I'm ready for a good sleep. Add to this the fact that the bed is the only furniture in my room and it means unless I go out drinking I'll end up napping from like 7-12 then not sleeping all night. I then end up vaguely passing out from like 6-8 and being fucking tired at work the next day. If I choose to go out (as was happening every night before I started running out of cash) then I don't usually come in til around 4 anyway so I'm still not exactly fresh as a daisy.

But yeah, naps fuck you up.

Yeah, I do sometimes have the urge to kill a politician. Hmmms.
