so we've been spending the night together a lot, 2 or 3 times a week usually (we live close which kinda rules, i can sleep wherever and still get to work in the morning), which i'm loving of course

but there is a small problem in that i'm so used to sleeping alone at this point, that i kind of can't fall asleep for more than an hour or two at a time, tops, if i'm sharing the bed with her. so whenever we sleep together i usually end up getting like 4 hours of sleep tops, if i'm lucky

so far my solution has been to just go to work tired and hope people ask me why i'm tired so that i can brag but is that a thing you get used to, or am i just going to have to be tired for the rest of my life at this point?

It takes time to acclimate to sleeping with someone. But then you'll get so used to it that when that someone goes out of town for a few days you barely sleep at all :o

I feel like I'm always exhausted for the first 6 months of any relationship. Now that whatshisname is living with me, I feel like my sleep is never fully solid. *sigh* It's because I kinda have to squish up on the edge because he takes up too much room. then my arm falls asleep and it wakes me up.
At least he doesn't snore....I think maybe I just need to get used to it.

Sleeping next to someone is weird because even if they're asleep, their energy is still very close to you which can make it difficult to relax. I'm a troubled sleeper anyways so it takes me a looong time to get used to sleeping with someone else. I totally understand this problem and can tell you from experience that it goes away eventually. so last night we accidentally went to a comedy open mic where me and her were literally the only two people in the audience apart from the comedians and their friends because the bruins were playing or something sportsish

it was pretty awkward to be the only people in the audience in front of a host who loves to do crowdwork but it was pretty memorable and she was into it so it was a good time whatever

afterwards there was a chugging contest with the bartender, and we both got up on stage and did it and despite being so petite she is quite the champion chugger! i had no idea! i like this girl

she wasn't as good as the bartender though, that guy was otherworldly good
