I don't work for TopSpin, in fact I've railed on them as well...but seriously...have you been buying music for the last decade? Those prices you are quoting are definitely bargain basement and reflect retailers who sell music at higher volumes so they can afford less margin. Don't forget Amazon just held a .99 cent sale for the new Lady Gaga album...when you talk direct from the artist and compare it to Amazon or even Mom and Pop, its not apples to apples

Those are actual album covers in the frames and yes I keep the vinyl separate so I can spin it.
The gatefold of HSCP2 is two pages of the "head's of the HSC" drawings one starts with 'pirate' and the second with the 'fainter'.
TT5B gate fold is just a continuation to the Manhattan cityscape panoramic drawing. I can't remember if the white sky was filled with the song lyrics or if it just empty!?! Sorry, I am to lazy to take it out of the frame.

First copies delivered to other buyers showed up on 5/26, post doesn't run tomorrow, and I am skeptical that mine will come when it does run again on Monday 6/6 (12 days later). I have had nothing but good experiences with topspin and SAMmerch. I am certain their is a good reason that I'm waiting an additional 12 days... They must be procuring an autographed test pressing on my behalf. ;)

got mine this week. unceremoniousy put the shirt over my sweaty neck and wore it to the gas station where i got a weird look from the cashier.. it DOES look like something the wearer made themselves.

i tihnk i got the knight iron on, but i stashed it with the record for posterity

my vinyl is smear-free, couple of tiny specs of blue. opened it once to look at the packaging and put it away with my other records.

i read through the lyrics sheet and noticed how a lot of the words are not the same as what's being said on the album. i gave my other copy of the cd to my younger sib with a wishy note written on the cover. my copy remains pristine and my digital tracks get the most play.

must say, the album sounds the VERY best in the car. the bass and richness of the sound is something that cannot be appreciated on a computer. if you havent, burn it and take it to a proper stereo - or at least your car.

kudos to the bboys for giving this release the proper depth/sound complexity that was sorely missing from TT5B. i really am enjoying tadlocks, say it, make some noise and disco the most. really good shit (y)

i thought that about liner notes from the other albums too. yeah, there've always been discrepancies.. i'd say 93.8% is a precise assessment

i thought disco powerpack sounds like "all day is'ok in the neighborhood" and it says "all day its how we play"

in lee majors it sounds like "you wanna battle, leave your mask off/easy now star" at the same time and it only says "easy now star" i could be wrong about that one

in tadlocks it sounds like he says "YES i cuss" and it says "plus i cuss"

i think there are more, i cant compare right now. in all these cases i like the lyrics i hear

i think maybe they don't give the lyrics sheets and just make someone listen and transcribe. its probably better that way, leaves things a little hazy

I liked Lee Majors and Pop Your Balloon, but you could say I was underwhelmed. the chopped HALSFY from the video game wasn't enough for me to judge, but as some have mentioned the album cut is growing into one of my favorites on the whole album.

I can't get the organ hook from MSN out of my head, I play it all day long as my soundtrack.

Maybe.. I may be wrong about the lyrics, but i could swear they sound different! Wonder if I would hear them differently if I'd done a first listen with a lyrics sheet?


Upon further inspection, it was my 45record of the 2 extra songs that is all speckly. Blue specks all over it.


I'm really intrigued about the seemingly hand written numbers on the LP vinyls... on the inner part of the vinyl where there is no music printed. Not even what they are but why they look hand etched in the plastic :confused:

I went and bought the vinyl at a record store for 20 bucks. It came with the 7" Pop Your Balloon/B-boys in the Cut, an iron on of "From The Future" and a digital download card. WOOOOH! I want to buy a second one.

I'm glad the vinyl came out later than CD release since it gives something else to look forward to post release.
