I'm sure the cop apologists will defend this tyrannical action - if so don't even fucking pretend you support freedom and please remember the people you "support" are fighting and dying for Freedom....well supposedly

should these people have been beaten up?

Well at least the Westboro Baptist Church never gets assaulted - hmmmm

Yeah, I saw this already, it's insane. Really bothered me. It almost seems like someone needed to just stop what everyone was doing and say 'what the fuck is even going on here?'. Too bad not one of the cops did that.

I'd like to say that British cops would act completely different about a situation like this, it would be such a non event if the cops just laughed and watched.

It is quite unfortunate that laws made to protect this nation further enslaves it.

Hell- Even the Egyptian soldiers joined/protected the crowd

We know why these cops acted out - Code Pink/Adam against the man were behind this dangerous dancing bunch....it was a demonstration for the arrest of a woman for dancing in 2008 (http://www.northtexasliberal.com/2008/04/woman-arrested-for-dancing-on-jefferson.html) - and even that was a travesty towards freedom - how petty.

It is a shame that many LEOs have problems interpreting freedoms, respecting rights, and knowing when to act appropriately. They are the ones who escalated this and it is quite apparent that grabbing someone's throat who has made NOT A SINGLE ACT OF VIOLENCE towards you is clearly assault. Grabbing/slapping the men with the cameras also assault.

Also telling people they can't video/photograph inside the monument or be arrested was a lie - officers have no right to make up rules/laws to benefit them.

Jefferson would have embraced this - why be solemn at a memorial for a guy who did not support the control of religion over our freedoms and helped draft the Constitution of the United States

big props to the guy yelling "You cannot shut me up, you cannot stop people from dancing, from kissing"

Even if the cops are cleared for this violent outlash towards peaceful protesters - they lost. fuck them.

silent dancing for fuck sake

I tend to side on the cops most often but this was just silly. Let them dance and then move on. If they were slam dancing and running into other people just coming to check out the memorial, I get it. Bunch of Michael Stipe looking dudes dancing like retarded indians? No harm.
