I've been thinking how disappointed I am that this damn cancer spoiled the kick off of this great album. (Obviously, saddened that Adam's health was in jeopardy. Lost my dad to brain cancer last October, so feeling loss hard.) Imagine what a blow-out it would have been if they'd been able to do TV appearances and a tour behind it right out the gate. Cancer's a fart.

How can you host a video contest for a band and not allow the band's music to be used?

When they contacted me via Facebook and E-mail they asked for me to call them and then they told me about the BoomBox. I would e-mail them back and see what's up. They are really nice and will hit you back on e-mail.

The thing is I don't want to bug them too much ("No boombox for you!") since I already replied twice to the initial email: first was to give my address as they requested, second was to clear up any confusion about the origin of the "Olio" - since it sounded from what they wrote me that they thought I just posted something I found instead of the real deal, which is I wrote those Q&As and got them published in the paper I was working for - slow news week - thinking that might give me some more cred and get me closer to a boombox...who knows...I'd be happy with a Country Mike bumpersticker at this point!
