NAS will be in the house, so why not the Beasties? This year's lineup is stacked, but the Beasties would give this show the headliner that we all know it needs. MCA has plenty of healing time for that September show in NY. Hope they consider it.

This year's lineup is stacked.....

You really think this ticket is stacked? I went when Rage headlined a few years ago and I can honestly say that the WU was the absolute very worst performance I've ever seen live, thank god Rage closed it down because they made you forget about everything else. Anyway lots of WU on here right....I think, honestly I don't recognize many of the names so maybe I'm just totally out of it but GZA, Immortal, Black Star, Cypress although their set at the aforementioned RTB wasn't very good, Doom and MURS are the only acts I'd really care to see....NAS I guess just because but I only know Illmatic and the few "hits" that came later from the videos. I guess one of the surprises could be Slug joining Murs or maybe Aesop in SF only cause he lives there, but Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill as headliners of Rock the Bells....no thanks.

I'm probably way out of touch so I'm just saying, and you could be more than right, but I don't think I'd go to this show and I definitely don't think the Beasties have any business being on the ticket, especially if they were ready then I would much rather see them alone with the dogs again opening.

Saw Rock The Bells a couple years ago in denver, was one of worst shows I've ever been to. But I'm old.

lauren hill, erika badu, nas (with premo and pete rock), cypress hill, common, blackstarr, raekwon, ghostface, gza, mobb deep, doom, curren$y, big krit, souls of mischief, random axe (sean p, black milk, guilty simpson), roc marciano, killah priest....

is a pretty good lineup. rappers arent necessarily always the best performers. ive seen nas live, and it was kind of dissapointing. it could have just been the crowd though. ive seen raekwon and the shit was pretty hype, so idk.

looks like a good time to me.

On this site (http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2011/05/rock_the_bells_14.html) they have the line up with "+" denoting "full album sets"......and it's a lot of the artists doing it. Pretty interesting.

BUT.....BIG BUT....DOOM isn't listed on that site. I still need to see him someday.

I have seen Rock the Bells a few times in Denver. Never super impressed, but I always score free tix, so I always check it.
The disappointing one was when Tribe cancelled last min. But the rest of that show was okay, except it was at Fiddlers which is a shit venue.
The worst one was at Red Rocks when everyone got drunk super early. So drunk they cut off beer at 7pm, which was right when I arrived. I saw like 12 peeps getting kicked out (for begin too drunk) as I made my way up the ramp. By 9pm when the top groups went on everyone was sober and grumpy.

I'd love for them to be there, but RTB doesn't really feel like a Beastie type of show to me... Is it the right audience?

Though Rage headlined a few times, so what do I know?

Personally, I was kind of on the fence about going, but hearing that Doom was added to the lineup seals the deal for me, I think.

I think the Rock The Bells lineups are set and they don't need anymore artists.

It would be insane to have them do a tour of album shows!! Imagine them doing different albums at different venues. That would be a great road trip to see 8 different concerts. LTI would be iffy since they dont play FFYR or She's Crafty, but they could play Kid Crafty!

Beasties and Cypress - That's all you really need for a stacked lineup.
