so obviously the video anthology is very outdated since it was released 3 albums ago AND it doesn't have LTI songs. I got to thinking, if they could make one with EVERY video, what would be on it?

Pre-LTI
Holy Snappers
She's On It
Any others?

LTI:
(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)
No Sleep till Brooklyn
Hold It, Now Hit It
Rhymin' and Stealin' and She's Crafty (from the LTI VHS. Maybe doesn't count as a proper video?)

PB:
Shake Your Rump
Hey Ladies
5-Piece Chicken Dinner
Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun
Shadrach

CYH:
Jimmy James
Pass The Mic
Gratitude
So What'cha Want
Time for Livin'
Something's Got to Give
Netty's Girl
Doesn't skills to pay the bills have a video???

IC:
Sure Shot
Root Down
Sabotage
Futterman's Rule
Ricky's Theme
Mullet Head

HN:
Body Movin'
Intergalactic
Three MC's and One DJ

Anthology:
Alive
Start!

TT5B
Ch-Check It Out
Right Right Now Now
Rhyme the Rhyme Well
Triple Trouble
Shazam!
An Open Letter to NYC

TMU:
The Gala Event
Off The Grid
The Rat Cage
The Kangaroo Rat
Any others from The mix up???

HSCPT2:
Make Some Noise
Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win (ft. Santigold)
Too Many Rappers (probably exists right???)

I'm sure I missed something, anyone know?

I think i remember a whole video that was kind of like a slideshow on the sabotage dvd, does that count as a video?

There is a version of root down i think that has all the subway maps scrolling around and another that looks like live footage. The one with the maps is the real video i think

Also, there is the Jus Blaze - Ch-Check It Out video

Yeah, the Skills video was on the SABOTAGE VHS. It was made up of live footage and stills (playing B-Ball and such).

There are two versions of "Off the Grid". One in the studio and one shot outside with Matrix-style video work.

1. Correct... Not sure if it counts.

2. Both versions count. One has the TFC footage.

3. That should count... But it's "Just Blaze".

It's Rotorua, those are hot-springs. Travel somewhere other than wherever the Beastie Boys go. You'd all like New Zealand.:)

When Beavis and Butthead watch Gratitude the video clip (which is the one youtube) they are viewing has a taniwha carving. Compare it to the one on the Anthology which doesn't. One of the carvings is just a straight up Maori carving, the other is a Taniwha.

Also, live clips have to be counted on their own since they're not the same song, even though they're the same song. You'd have to be a fucking slow fucker to not be aware of the live video version of Gratitude (top 5 clip imo) at this point, no? Shit, throw in the oscilloscope version too.

I'm just fucking about. Except about edited, officially released live clips; they are stand-alone videos, not different videos for the one song.

Not only do I not have the motivation for a project like that but it would kill me if not every video is formatted the same. I would want the quality to be consistent for each and every video.

Haha damn I was fuckin stupid to do it that way, now nobody can update it. I am a little faded, but I like aggregation. Note that I have taken a lot of liberties with clip choices as some milestones or moments I feel transcend the videos of said songs (or the video has just been done to death). hmmmmmmmm if the links are fucked swap em out

I remember the countless hours spent playing with the camera angles/remixes from the Criterion DVD. That thing was a work of art in itself.

What's interesting is that they did the whole semi-live instrument thing on that version of Alive, but made it sound very of the times, not like they were going back to an older sound. I could imagine they wanted (at the time) to compose it a less obvious way, but I enjoy it like this. (y)

EDIT: Just realised that 'White Shadow' is not 'White Shadow' at all. It's a similar sort of dirge, though. Interesting. I think keeping it labelled incorrectly might be appropos.
