I always ask real people this question, and usually don't care about the response because it generally witters forth from the mouth of a fuckstick.. But since this place is good people I ask you: how was your weekend?
Mine was good. Went to see His Holiness the Dalai Lama speak on some stuff. He's a funny cat. There was a good turn out, surprisingly diverse crowd. Some people I spoke to afterwards only took away that he said all religion is shit. He didn't say that, he just said it's not essential to happiness, and if you're going to be religious then do so and be good (no half-stepping I guess). It was kind of hard not to get swept up in his energy, to be honest.
Not really in the spirit of the thread, but a couple of weekends ago I flew a small plane (supervised, of course). I did the take-off, (although the plane is set up to want to take off at the point of no return, you just have to gently pull the stick) and a few basic moves. Took a flight up the coast, beautiful day. I'm thinking about getting my Private Pilot's License.
Anyway, how was your weekend? Maybe this could be a weekend thread.

seeing the dali would be cool.
it was deece. i saw the budos band at my cities jazz fest. they were cool. afro funk. then the next day i played 90 minutes with 10 (sometimes 9 guys) against 11 with my affiliate soccer team. was a little tired monday.

this past weekend was dull for me. I had to go back to work on Sunday night after 12 days of vacation. The previous weekend was fun though...was in England visiting friends.

I am moving and have to be out of my home by the 1st, so plenty of time, but moved shit all day Saturday.
Sunday ... played golf, drank beer and played at the pool with my 3 girls all day. We did not go to church ... because my girls spent all week at vacation bible school all week and wanted to ditch church..
Same schedule for this weekend... but I have movers coming to help me with the big pieces..

pretty good, had an art performance thing at a gallery on friday that was pretty awesome. it was attended by lots of local famouses, and that chick who was in that Paper Heart movie that I never saw. my project was well-received, so kudos to me! ;)
saturday I worked, then hung out at home drew pictures and watched Robyn videos all night while the boyf was out playin music in the burbs.
sunday went to a day time party at a record store, then ate birthday pancakes with my birthday boy, then took a nap, then met up with friends for birthday mexican food. then, had a comedy show to produce. after that, brought people back to our house for hang time. then fell asleep watching Dexter.
it was an unusually hip and action-packed weekend. normally I just hang out in people's backyards.

Well, considering i did very little as my kids were glued to the xbox most of the time it was actually awesome. I finally found the bollocks to talk to my ex's mum and tell her that her son and i aren't together anymore. We split a couple of years ago but because we're still sharing the house and it's all pretty hideously complicated, we hadn't told his family.....or rather, he hadn't and never would. I was holding off because i knew she'd be upset. So that is a massive weight off my mind and now maybe i can start to make moves to get the hell out of this crappy situation. So, a bit dull for anyone reading this, but good for me. Weekend before was good too, took my eldest son to Go Ape which is a swinging around in the trees in the beautiful forest of dean activity thing.
Watched babestation, ate wotsits and made my penis turn orange somehow.

Not terribly eventful...it rained,I watched harry potter,read a bunch,snagged a big bag,made a batch of marinara,watched the river rise and disenfranchise some beavers...all saturday there was a plane flying around trailing a banner that said "CHRIST is coming back be prepared!"...and I was wondering if the banner said "Allah Hu Akbar!" what the public reaction would be...

i went to see our hit parade that toured to adelaide for the cabaret festival...hilarious and terrifying all at once, saw the grates on saturday night and fell desperately in love with the lead singer, and spooned with one of my housemates watching arrested development sunday night. worked and studied in between it all too and am consequently still shattered and looking forward to doing nothing but read and sleep this weekend.

Seeing how I'm not working and consider everyday to be my weekend; I believe this thread to be perfect for me!
Monday, I went on a 2 hour hike through the woods w my dog and some old roommates/ one of their dogs to a great river, did a ton of bouldering/scoped out a rock climbing wall.
Tuesday, I went on a great canoe paddle up a river to meet up w some friends and have a beer.
Wed. I took the dog for a 5k run through the hood. That night had a great bonfire w a wicked ass crew of ppl and posted some shit I shouldn't have hah:D
Today I went rock climbing all afternoon and busted out some really challenging routes for me about 80 feet high I believe
Needless to say, its been a great weekend!:D

Landed a sick labour job! Started today and got along great with everybody, killed a 12 hour shift and had enough energy to run my dog afterwards; Perfect!

I've spent this weekend caring for my wife who has busted her arm and leg pretty badly. Lots of domestice stuff to do. She wanted me to tie her hair back. When the fuck would I have learned how to do that? She's a pretty average patient....

Me and a mate took his Subaru WRX to a hillclimb event a couple of hours away from my house. 57 cars entered, we were in the top 5 all day!! Hooray!
