well, both I guess. I got free tickets to see him, and didn't really know what to expect, but was enthralled. his voice is amazing and the "stand up" portion of his act is mostly stories which I found to be heart warming and hilarious.

if you were refering to the tweets (and status updates, we're "friends" on fb)...he just isn't so funny on the fly. and sometimes reveals too much about private things, and generally just posts way too much. however, that's lessing now that he's gotten more famous and they changed his personal page to a fan page.

i saw reggie watts live alongside eugene mirman and kumail nanjiani and another guy whose name i want to say was tom arnold only he wasn't that tom arnold, he was a gay british guy, anyway he was quite funny too

the point is i saw reggie watts live and yeah, he's funny, you should see him

his act is so risky though, at least the one i saw, because when he's not doing his music thing, he puts on this absolutely bizarre character act that i'm not even going to try to describe, and yeah, it's funny in my opinion, and lucky for him it was funny in the opinions of everyone else in the audience, but if it wasn't, he would've been fucked because he was immediately committed to it and it would have been super awkward to be doing it and to have had nobody laughing at it

that description doesn't help, i know, and i'm really not sure how to write it up in a way that does, but...well...you've seen his hair and his sweatpants, you can imagine what his stand up is like
