Reading the post of the so-called fans of the beastie's on Facebook after their post of the passing of gay marriage in new york is disgusting.
Some said "I've been a fan of the beastie's for years and if their going to support this then I'm burning their albums and cds" Fuck off then, we don't need you in our group.

Gay people are EVIL. Trust me. That one book about sacrifice and rooms where people get brought back to life and tortured for being how they are by nature says so. I have a gay brother. Ever since he came out his eyes open up blank white while he's sleeping and he starts to speak to the devil. For those who don't know who the devil is he is some guy who betrayed god so he was granted powers beyond imagination than given his own underground kingdom called hell where poeple who make mistakes go.
If you don't care about other people's business that doesn't affect you than you are the DAYVIL!(Devil for dem smart types) Don't fix your own problems. Get mad at what you think is a problem of someone elses.

Defining Marriage….
This whole same sex marriage/equality thing has been something I have thought about since I worked in D.C. back in 1994-95 when I would deal with angry constituents that were upset regarding their benefits as a same sex couple.
Do you believe in separation of church and state? I do, so I think the Government’s definition of Marriage has nothing to do with your church’s definition … if you have a church.
I want to talk about the government definition and my church’s.
First the government version of marriage is in fact a big part of our life as you know because it effects include things like our taxes, benefits and even things like hospital visitation rights..
So per government I do believe two ladies with foster kids living as a family should have the same rights as my family. So in government the term same sex marriage should/could exist.
Per my church, I define marriage as Male and Female joining together to raise their children. So in my church the term same sex marriage dose not exist. I do believe in freedom of religion so you can have your own religion and your own definition … that’s between you and God, or you and yourself.

you need be respectful of everyone's religious beliefs.
there is much more to this discussion then just the idea of equality.
Marriage, as it stands historically, is a coupling of people aligned with the blessing of the lord. Some see this movement as an attack on religion and their ability to set their rules. That the government can force policy on a religious group is a scary move.
That being said, I'm all for equality. I'm all for the recognition of the union between any two loving people, with all its benefits. I just also understand that some religions feel that homosexuality, and their unions, are against god's wishes. The struggle for the word "marriage" seems to be a mis-focus of the energies here. We could remove the debate by focusing on the civil ramifications, and not the perceived quest to be viewed as equal by the church and receive their blessing.
I'd love to see "marriage" be confined to the lexicon of the religious world....and that the rest of us become 'unioned' or something under the eyes of the state.

Religion is the only thing that is really holding the human race back, I feel. But I'm happy for people to have their beliefs if it helps them live and makes them happy (and if it doesn't hurt anyone else).
What so many people seem to object to about gay marriage is its affront to the religious concept of marriage. All that a formal same-sex union does is recognise the civil/legal status of a couple. But calling it 'marriage' seems to stir up a connotation which drives some folk mental, because they have a religious definition of marriage as being a sacred union between a man and a woman.
To be honest, I kind of get where they're coming from. That construct is wired into them through years of indoctrination outside of and inside of organised religion.
If it weren't called marriage I think don't the opponents would be so phased, but it would defeat the purpose I guess. Although I do realise I'm generalising; some of the people diametrically opposed to gay marriage are just bigots for the sake of it.

Those fans on facebook are the same ones who think they are gonna be touring this year. They just don’t know enough about the guys I guess. Anyway the marriage thing for me is just about equality. Same basic rights as the rest of us.
There are a lot of taboo relationships out there that are never discussed so if you are going to punish gays then punish everybody for doing something the church doesn’t approve of. The church doesn’t have to marry them if they don’t want to, but they should be allowed to least get have some official way to get married if that’s their choice.
Plus this isn't 1893 anymore. ;)

you need be respectful of everyone's religious beliefs.
Respect religious people and their right to believe whatever crazy shit they like. But absolutely do not respect the beliefs themselves and show no tolerance to those beliefs when they negatively impact human beings.
For example, I respect that a persons religious (or political) beliefs may make them a bigot and that they have a right to be that way, but I won't show any tolerance for a person acting on that belief.

Ron Paul himself has said that he would have voted against the Civil Rights Act. I guess the right of private business owners to deny accomodations, food, housing, or anything else to non-white, non-male citizens = freedom? Freedom for who is the question.

My whole view on gay marriage is this: I have no view on it. How can I have an honest opinion about something I know nothing about. They want to get married let them get married, who cares? Really? It doesn't bother me any. As long as every girl doesn't become a ragging lesbian it just means more girls for the rest of us :)
But seriously. How does it affect the average straight person in ANY way other than having to see a few dudes make out in public every once in a while. It's really such a non-issue to me I really don't understand what all the fuss is about. It's such a HUGE deal here in Toronto that our Mayor isn't showing up to our annual gay pride parade. Really? That's a big deal politically? Who cares? Wouldn't you have more fun anyway if the mayor ISN'T there?
Sorry about the rant, just this whole gay vs straight thing is starting to get really fucking annoying. Who cares. We're all people. Have sex with whoever you like, just make sure it's consensual and leave me the fuck out of it.

Where’s that clip of I think it was Mike or MCA dressed up and they are sitting in chairs and one of them says “sometimes I like men?” I know he’s joking of course but I think it was from one of their video anthologies. I just can’t remember which one. Anyway it was funny!!! Horovitz has a wife who is a really strong gay activist so I am not surprised they are supportive.
