I hate to say it but I'm in the "worried about Yauch" camp.

it just looks like he has been really battling this thing for two full years now.

that takes such a toll on the body.

his mind, I imagine, is in tip top shape.


but we have no clue as to the course of treatment Mr. Yauch has chosen: has he shunned chemotherapy altogether? there were reports last year of an Eastern based diet and treatment plan, but the dude has a full head of hair and beard to go along with his svelte figure...

my universal prayers are with Adam Yauch and the Beastie Boys fans regardless....

He has a bit of nerve damage on part of his face and the result might be more surgeries to correct either what the cancer or the treatments have done to him. My theory is that he has been doing radiation because due to over a span of six months he lost a significant amount of weight. It's gonna take a long time for him to heal but his band-mates seemed really optimistic during their interviews about it all. Plus he's not bed ridden. If he were then I'd start worrying. That's all I'm gonna say. Staying positive. :cool:

PS-Yauch if you read this, sorry to speculate so much but you're fans are just concerned. ;)

These things should be judged on a case-by-case basis, but I mean, you read about Michael Douglas having stage 4 throat cancer and jetting around the world recovered and its a little concerning when I think about MCA, who's cancer was supposed to be a pretty easy recovery, by cancer standards.

There is some Tibet Buddhist thing going on and I have a friend who is there. She just saw MCA behind a security barrier. She said he didn't look as skinny as we had last seen him and his facial paralysis seemed gone!!!!! So overall looks like he is getting better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
