I'm agnostic. Not quite sure when the funeral was. Either that or God is an absentee landlord, which would make him an asshole if that's the case.
My parents are born again Christians. They are active in their church. Sometimes they go to eat at Burger King before service and occasionally they'll me email about it. They've been known to eat fish on Fridays. Simple folks, that take great pleasure doing what most take for granted.
My common law wife is a Buddhist that is active in her pursuits of whatever that entails. She eats cheap hot Thai street food and is pretty happy about it. But if she had her druthers she'd eat Japanese food on a regular basis. She also cuts my hair. She's not my Facebook friend. We saw Kool & the Gang about 2 years ago but her favorite "band" is Lady Gaga. I heard an interview where Gary Holt says that he's a fan as well.
I feel that it makes them*Not Gary Holt bc I don't know him* better people for whatever measures that accounts for.(I ended that sentence w/ a proposition)
I can't talk to my parents about theological discussions because my mom once told me that it makes my dad disturbed and she'd not talk to me again if I upset him, so that ended that.
And when I throw a softball question to the better half she looks at me blank eyed like a goldfish. Then turns up the volume on the Korean Game Show-Which neither of us understand.
I wished Jesus was alive so we could play putt putt golf. Or Buddha because he'd be a blast to play disc golf with. Mohammed would be fun because we would try to out do each other on who could beat our multiple wives the best.
But we'd all share the common thread that Bahá'í Faith is a farce and a joke. And have a larf at their expense. Aggh what good times to have.
I never liked the TV show MASH and think that Cheers is outdated but Taxi has aged like wine. Dear John sucked. Always had, always will.
My cousin and his wife are getting divorced. It's pretty shitty that they stayed together til their kids went to college because now their kids will think that's how a functional family is supposed to be. Plus they never got an Achievement Award on XBox 360. :( and he started listening to Yanni, at her request I presume, the last time I saw him some 2o years ago- I knew the marriage was doomed then.
