Same thing here. My three year old knows it inside and out at this point.
Love listening it through the car, then the computer with some Beats cans and then the LP through studio monitors...each one pops out different pieces.

I was just listening to it last night whilst biking...I know what you mean...when a new Beastie album drops, it's not just something to listen to for a couple weeks...it's something to live by for the next few years.

I gave my first cd away and went 4 days without it. So I went to target and got my 2nd cd. Those 4 days were ruff.

But I feel good to pass out the cd and loved getting a new one

I also found the bboy teeshirt for the first time... cyh ... bad quality print but I got it $12

I listen to it in my car literally every day. It's a great natural high early in the morning when I'm just starting my day. I still don't know where to place it on my list of top b-boy albums though. As Mike would say I need to let it marinate for awhile longer.

I'm tempted to head back to Best Buy and get their t-shirt edition in the box. I couldn't even begin to fit in the medium t-shirt, so I'd just be purchasing a $20 box.

That being said...I'll still probably get it :D

Good idea to leave it in the car. Not just because it's a fantastic album, but because it's also a real beeyotch to get the CD in and out of the case! Haha! :p

I don't think I've posted here since 2004, but I had to check in with Beastie nation and see that they feel the same way about this album that I do. Reading these posts has made me feel better about my recent obsession.

I bought it the day it came out and it hasn't left my car also. I had high expectations for it and they've been exceeded. It seems I'm not alone, and that's a good thing.

When will I start to like this record? It has to be my least favorite. I'll keep trying.

I think it's their greatest record.

I took a break for a bit, but man it is a tremendous record. Best one they have made in a long, long time.

Which one is your favourite?
Paul's Boutique. Thats because I really like sampling. The last Beastie Boys album I liked was Ill Communication. After that record they lost me.

Can I ask what you don't like about the other 4? Just interested, this is not an attack.

I knocked one up in about 5 minutes - just do it!

Make Some Noise: A. Best single since Intergalactic; just as good....maybe better.
Nonstop Disco Powerpack: A+. Best track on the record...should be single.
OK: B+ Solid track except for chorus.
Too Many Rappers: B. Better than original version, but they should have brought A-game w/Nas.
Say It: B+. I don't want to like this...but i do. Hardest track on record.
The Bill Harper Collection: waste
Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win: C+. Solid track if you take the Beasties out of it. Should have brought their A-game if they knew it'd be a single.
Long Burn the Fire: A. 2nd best track of record. Yauch's verse is sorta kinda corny.
Funky Donkey: B-. Skippable
The Larry Routine: waste. should have included BBITC instead. kill 2 birds yo...
Tadlock's Glasses: B+. Dramastically different....love the vocal effects!
Lee Majors Come Again: A+. Sums up their whole career. Great track!!!
Multilateral Nuclear Disarmament: its an instrumental...chillax!
Here's a Little Something for Ya: A. The Numberx rmx is better, but a solid track nonetheless.
Crazy Ass Shit: B. it's a'ight...i often skip it.
The Lisa Lisa/Full Force Routine: A+. Rule #1 of showbiz: leave them wanting more....mission accomplished!
Pop Your Balloon: A. Should have been included on the record instead of BHC or FD. Mike shines!
B-Boys in the Cut: B+. Should have been on record instead of that LR.

overall...i love it. like i said, it hasn't left my car stereo yet. i listen to it daily. best record since CYH.

The more I listen to this song, the more it becomes one of my all time favourite Beastie songs. Which tells you something about this album. How many other artists are releasing classic material this far into their career?

I agree... dope beat, A+ lyrics... flows like 3 Minute Rule form Paul's Boutique. Classic.
