Being an Arsenal fan, I will not contribute to this until the season has kicked off....summer-time transfer gossip drives me up the fucking wall!!!

considering we have spurs, arsenal and chelsea in our first five games, i'm hoping for a good start.
we have bought well, but i think fergie still has options, i think if we dont get anyone in midfield then wayne could play a part in that role. There were a few games last season that showed another side to this game. so maybe we get another striker instead. Or maybe michael owen might score twen....

I can sympathise with you on that. I really hate transfer gossip from the red tops, I try my best to not get drawn into it because 9 times out of ten it's based on pure speculation and not hard solid fact, It's almost like the red tops have a licence to bs about whatever player/club they want.

i just wish tevez would fuck right off. city are better off getting rid than holding out for 50 mill.

they can chuck all the money they like at it and buy every top prospect at inflated prices but i still agree with this mans words (http://therepublikofmancunia.com/ian-brown-city-will-fk-this-up/),.even though they are progressing to winning things etc, It still smacks of trying too hard.
I dont think anybody city have bought since the sheikh came in has been worth it, or proved it. Not even tevez, yeah he's scored goals but he has been a right twat about it. Adam Johnson..maybe. He was relatively cheap and has done ok, but they still dont play him enough. A lot of it is down to the fact there is a "city" tax on transfers but still, you dont always get what you pay for.
Barton is my favourite player at the moment. He's pure handbags raised.

I fucking hate him. Fair play for standing up for himself against Piers Morgan et al on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/joey7barton), but he should have had a straight red for that grab.

He's a total tool. That malarkey is so out of line, he just spoils every game he's involved in.
Song should have seen red, won't defend that, but Barton is just another level of lunacy.

I'm not saying he hasnt the tendency to be a knob but thats an over reaction. Players dont play in PL if they do things like that in every game.
This fixture has always been a bit of a tempestuous one , rembember last year?, ginola v dixon, seem to remember the one where bergkamp scored that goal was a tasty one as well.
No doubt that Barton (and others) were well out of order yesterday but its just the first talking point of the season. Everyone in the media seems to have gone a bit over the top as though this sort of thing (and worse) has never happened before.

proper impressed with us today. Arsenal were shit but i just thought it was a great sign that we reacted well to city's win. That was a massive result for them, fair do's.
That was a good couple of footy games. Ashley Young has settle in nicely. I wasn't too fussed about him when it was announced we'd bought him but he looks liked he's been a united player for seasons.
I love it when Park slots one home as well. Fan favorite that lad.

id hate to have been an arsenal fan on the train back to london. trapped with man utd fans for hours. endless taunting.
Oh my, another bag of goals. Lets hope we're not last season Chelsea and spunk it all so early in the season.
