If you could select a producer for the next Beastie Boys album who would it be?

I would like to see any of the following work on their record...

DJ Premier
DJ Muggs
Dr. Dre
Dust Brothers
Rick Rubin
Pete Rock
RZA

Who can think that far ahead?

Works out *mubbles numbers, counts on figures* I'll probably be 53 years old then and too old to listen to new music.

Hopefully it is Zedar, and it is already on ice.

They'd probably self produce again and maybe have someone like Zdar mix it. But if they do hire a producer I'm hoping for Weird Al or Prince.

I'm not sure, but I think they like making beats. It's kinda part of the whole musician thing.

yeah i think they need more of a sponge to soak up their good ideas rather than someone pointing them in a direction.

Although i would love the chemical brothers to do it, they to like making beats but i think it would be a clash of styles

How about Trent Reznor? That could be good.

Pete Rock could be a cool combo with the Beasties.

Dr. Dre? RZA? I doubt it.

Zdar did a great job with the mix on HSCP2 in my opinion. Hopefully he works on part 1.

I'm sure the boys will make a great choice if they choose to work with a producer, but I hope they stay the hell away from Danger Mouse...

What is this, 1992 with these lists? Those guys were amazing but their time is up. Have you heard Dre's latest garbage?

Beastie Boys should produce Beastie Boys records.

I think the Beasties should... the whole rap thing nowadays where you get some dude to send you a beat and you crap a song out in a day is so tired.

They're all too experienced with making music at this point for them to hand the reigns over to someone. A collaborative effort could be alright I suppose.

Amp Live of Zion I, should produce the next Gorillaz LP.

Beastie Boys should and will do theirs, themselves...

When and if they ever do a planned final record, Mario C. and the Dust Bros. should be involved with some small bits of production (say 2-3 songs each) and ONE (and only one) song with DJ Double R would be noice as well.:)

I agree. I would love to hear ONE last song with Rick Rubin just for old times sake. Something like Jay Z did with 99 problems.

Alright, I know I was a little harsh before but I agree with this one hundred percent.
