I used to be Beastie's#14,003fan, during the height of LTI. But, that was before PB came out: then I rocketed up the charts to Beastie's#12fan. Even through the dark years of 90-91 I remained high on the list, reaching my personal all-time best in the spring of 1992, when I was Beastie's#8fan. Then CYH dropped, and it was a struggle, I tell you. I still considered myself Beastie's#8fan, but alas, the world was catching up, and I dropped to Beastie's#2,304fan, which was my peak standing through IC and the ensuing years leading up to HN, after which my numbers fell so hard I don't even want to display them (just imagine a fifth digit in my rank and feel my shame). After the Anthology and before 5Bs, I came perilously close to losing my place in the standings altogether (as you all know, the committee rankings end at Beastie's#3M,TA3fan), but once 5Bs launched, I found myself flying high again like Ozzy, reaching nearly unprecedented heights (Beastie's#1258fan - 2004, Beastie's#644fan - 2005, and Beastie's#873fan - 2006). Since then, I fell the fuck off, starting a family, buying a home, getting desk jobs, listening to Wilco, etc., and I remain ashamed to even check my numbers. So this update from beasties#1fan is a welcome communique from a foreign land. Congratulations to ye, beasties#1fan. I hope Mr. Grasshoff's leisure suit fits like a glove.

I always passed out mix tapes and gave out my cds..

I thought, what would the Beastie Boys want me to do/be if I was their biggest fan?

I thought ... should I buy a bunch of stuff and have a crazy collection ...

then I decided, the best thing I can do to be a good person and live by what I refer to as the Beastie Boys religion...

Some of what makes up that religion for me...

I went out to be a professional that got paid... be a newlywed .. treat my wife good.. be a good dad... be a good role model as a big Beastie Boys fan. So when lame punk ass nerds saw that I was a fan there would be no questions other than how can I get some of that ...

Just to think of my position in the community, but yet I send out a blast email to all my contacts telling them the new video is out... people know its coming by now and I even generated a few friends.

I guess I went off in the wrong direction to prove I was the #1 fan.... I should of got a collection of stuff?

In the last week I've had 2 of these e-mails. When you said you had registration issues, I wondered if you were one of the e-mailers. That's all..
