Thoughts on the Beastie Boys getting nominated for Video of the Year and Best Direction for "Make Some Noise" at this year's MTV Video Music Awards (Aug. 28)?

Will Yauch attend?

Will Mike and Adam show up?

Dumb Adele or Katy Perry will win it all because MTV is not cool anymore. However it won't stop me from voting and encouraging fans to do so. No way will any of them attend though. Yauch for sure wouldn't. If he's not comfortable going to radio interviews he definitely wouldn't go to something big like this.... :rolleyes:

these nominations are for Yauch. I see the MTV community coming together in support for MCA here. I know I keep seeing Justin Beiber and Britney Spears all over that web page but honestly I am convinced.

Adele's music is dope but her music isn't up against the beastie boys. and I haven't seen the competition so I can't make an honest assessment.

well either way does this mean DPNG technically qualifies for next year's awards?

and the awards are in LA this year. as Jay Stone hinted, this has the making for a very inspired event !

For Yauch? :o I dunno I lost faith in MTV long ago. Katy Perry is their golden child. They only care about what is hip and now. Andthose who paved the way for their infested reality based once good musical network all get forgotten. But laugh at me if I am wrong!!!!!! It would totally rock if MTV were really coming together for MCA. His sickness seems to bipassed but Adele's laryngitis gets reported daily on mtv.com. :rolleyes:

I would love to see the boys win more than anything, even just the fact they got nominated is great. No one else and I mean no one has stayed succesful in hip hop for as long as them and for that alone I think they deserve to win. Get well MCA

they will win i have confidence, mtv suprises me alot and if anyone desreves this it the boys that song and video are the shit i love it!!!! It would be my favorite track on the record if i hadnt heard it a million times now i skip it alot and dont know why because its sooooooooooo good.
