beasties#1fan,

I neither love you or hate you at this point, but I think we'd all love to see the collection of their No. 1 fan...

I'll even start.

My collection, Have a few things not pictured here, but you get the idea.

Promo CD's http://youtu.be/sllqhGWGpH8

I have a giant collection of remixes, live shows, and bootlegs.
http://beastiemixes.com

I am only 3 degrees of separation from the actual Beastie Boys
Jim Shearer has mentioned my site multiple times on his podcast "The Brouhaha (http://thebrouhaha.podbean.com/)", and he's actually met them multiple times.

I've made the pilgrimage to the holy land Capitol Records (http://www.flickr.com/photos/37445525@N04/4550303212/in/set-72157617033789408), and walked where they have walked.

My site got a nice shoutout (http://makesomenoise.fm/post/7085218476/beastiemixes-com) on makesomenoise.fm

Site Specific photos, promoting the Beastie Boys and my site.

Even with all this, I'm probably pretty far down on the list as super fans go......
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

And maybe some photos of a friend's collection that few can top. (This is not complete by any means) (and It's not mine)

"you got to chiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllll"(lb)

In my video I clearly state at the 2:33 mark that I like to make bootleg iron Beastie Boys shirts, so I guess you like to re-state the obvious... re-tard

The Beastie Boys love iron-on shirts, that's why they have given out iron-on's in promos, in vinyl packs and in the Grand Royal Mag. I'm suprized you didn't know that since you are the #1 one stan.

The powers that be on this board have already deemed you as annoying, which will be hard to every re-deem yourself from. The heads that post offend here are pretty unforgiving.
So until your video with all the 'material' things you bought that are Beastie appears and if (which it won't) it impresses, you will be know as 'troll'.

Thanks for watching my video multiple times troll, I just blocked you from my YouTube channel since you replied "not to diss but you are a whales penis" and I did even convo with you on YouTube.

You do know I made this video for http://makesomenoise.fm/ on which I am one of five finalist's competing for a trip paid for by the Beastie Boys to fly to LA to see the MSN video set and tour the Capital Records building.

Your collections and your # 1 stan-dom should have no problem beating me in this competition, expect you never even made a submission...

Keep it moving troll, the boards are done with ya!

Do you guys take that knowledge as a good ass collection? I hope so. (:

Yes, Things/stuff are NOT what makes a fan.. I happen to have a bunch of stuff I've collected and been given, but I'd like to think that I've given back as well.

A Super Fan is someone who studies, knows the music, and preaches it to others in my book.

But the proposed idea of being a fan was, "I'll upload a video of my collection" or something like that...

You can be a huge fan and not own any albums as far as I'm concerned. Owning the albums, I hope helps the bands continue, buying merch. on the site store helps more, seeing shows I would imagine helps the most.

Yes! (:
One thing I do most is preach about their music, I talk about how I think new age rap is a disgrace to old school hip-hop.

ya it's not about what Beastie items you own or can afford to buy. Heck Ben Stiller is a fan and he has more money then anyone I know on these here boards, so he could buy all the Beastie Boys shirts that come in his extra medium size!

It's about the overall way that you show pride in all things Beastie Boys related (knowledge of the band, collection of rare music, keeping their name alive in your town and probably a sticker on the back of your car ;)), and the amount of Beasties shows you have been to...

One thing you shouldn’t do is challenge other fans about who is the bigger fan. We all are or otherwise we wouldn’t be here. Some of us have more resources than others but I am sure if given the chance we’d all want the same things whether it’s more merch or being able to go to a show. And as a fan you have preferences. Many of you collect the vinyl and I collect photos of the guys. I mean who cares who has what as long as we’re all being supportive of the guys. :D

Ya, I got the boom box as a gift after the MSN.fm blog peeps liked and posted pictures from my Beastie Cave (i.e. my basement).
It's a sweet boom box and sounds and looks really noice, it is also heavy as shit (over 30 lb's once you have all 12 D batteries in). I can't complain since it is so primo and retail's for close to 5 bills.
I hope my Beastie Bike Ride and my Beastie Bath and Tee Shirt Tour video's are enough to help me get out to L.A. (I made 3 other video's as well maybe they will post them on the MSN blog later, who knows. If you want to see them go to my MCScoobyT YouTube channel.)

Agreed 100% Jo, by the way you all have some really nice shit, I have bought so much stuff over the years that's almost all been lost or stolen but what I do have and always will are lots of good memories listening to their music and going to their shows, I try to represent them as much as I can and now I have a 16 year old nephew and a 11 year old son that love them too, can't wait to take them to a show!!!

You can't measure the size of fanhood by the size of the collection, like you can't measure the size of manhood by the size of your dick!
You can still love the boys without owning a single T-shirt or each of the different versions of every album.

I've made quite a few own Beastie Boys T-shirts (usually handpainted, the first one back in 1986 with the logo), my favourite being the Rolling Stone cover with the funny twisted mirror image, and it became even bigger favourite after the guys signed it after the Manchester gig in 1995..... I'm gonna take a photo of it later, as I'm documenting my whole T-shirt collection, but it takes time...

If you read the tread you will see that I already smashed and made peace with beasties#1fan for 'not' dissing my iron-on shirts, so I'm not trying to restart a shouting match here...

But for those that might not watch the video with a tally sheet here are the real numbers:
I showed 56 shirts and 3 hats
All 3 hats are official Beastie merch (plus I have an official patch on a snow hat I forgot to show!)
29 of the shirts are official merch from concerts, stores and on-line
3 are non-official silk-screens of reprints or customs that I bought on-line
3 are official Grand Royal shirts but aren't Beastie Boys
1 is an officially licensed Beastie Boys iron-on!
1 is my own design using some of Mike Mills HSC head drawings made with heat press vinyl
and
19 are iron-on's I made myself

I came up on punk so I'm down with D.I.Y. clothing, I lived through Grunge so I'm not afraid to rock an iron-on that is a bit cracked and or losing some color and I'm Hip-Hop enough to have a different color Beasties shirt to rock with every style of kicks in my closet!

Word Frank!
These iron-on's (http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Products/Crafts-&-Scrapbooking/Fabric-Transfers/Dark-T_Shirt-Transfers_03279.htm) seem to hold up the best out of the ones I've tried. Even if you put them on a white shirt, they just are a little heavier and more durable.

Thad and I go way back, it was sarcasm which I'm sure he got if he read my post. He's been a hosted DJ on my site for years. Sorry you didn't get it...

^Thanks for the congrats.

As far as S7, yes his post seemed ill willed (if you didn't know he is my bud) and it's cool you questioned it. Really though he one of the nicest most humble and helpful peeps on this board... I'm even gonna drink some beer with his ugly mug when I'm out in Cali!

Word my bad
I hate when people become salty about someone winning something because they wanted it, so I always jump in on things like that.

I found and bought a Beastie tee I had never seen before, today at Target.

Light Grey tee that says Beastie Boys in White with Red, Yellow, Blue, Brown and Dark Grey circles that say
3
M C S
1 D J
(one letter inside each circle)
I think they are meant to look like the train line circles on a NYC subway map.
$12.99

Picked up 4 of them so far, 2 for me, one for a friend and one to be included in the next contest's prize package. It's a cool shirt indeed.

I've had many shirts over the years. Wore them do much that they basically fell apart. I've thrown away :
Karate ringer tee
Burgundy Grand Royal tee
Bees + Tea + Boys tee
Get off my D--- tee

And others...

But I held on to this one, even though I can't possibly wear it anymore. Got it in a record shop in 1987
