When I was a kid I remember my grandmother used to keep her money in her bra all the time. She even had a little pouch with a button snap and a safety pin just for that purpose. She wasn't trashy, just an older woman living in a large city and conscious about getting her purse snatched. She told me it was safer that way which never made any sense to me at all.

My argument was this: If some clown snatches your purse, odds are he's going to run once he has it. Now you have no purse but you are physically safe. But if some clown sees you through the window of a restaurant reaching into your bra to pay a bill, he knows your money is on your person which puts your safety in danger.

i have, on occasion, put my phone in my bra. similar to dorothy, it's usually when im on the bike, and there's not enough time/coordination/will to put in my purse. but i don't feel like it's a very safe place to store anything, as my boobs are big and take up basically all of the room in my bra. having a lumpy boob (because of a stored item) is not a good look...
