Which do you prefer?
Just comparing because I listen to them side by side quite a bit at the moment.
For me it's Trouble On My Mind because it makes me think of a 2011 version of 'The What'.
'trouble' without a doubt.
'otis' is catchy as hell but this combo; i think pusha even quotes it: something about joining hipsters and gangstas... it's a deadly combo. very NWA. film clip is hilarious too.

I also got them lined up in a playlist at the mo.
I'm gonna go with Trouble, I've been a fan of Pusha for years and this is also the first song I've heard from Tyler since he blew that is worthy of the hype people have given him (myself included). I prefer the beat too, and the lyrics are always going to be better than a Jay/Ye swagger track- even though Pusha probably wrote Ye's verse for him.

Not to take anything away from Otis, it's dope too. Just a reasonable comparison I guess.

I always think the hook on Trouble On My Mind could be better, its just the same thing repeated.

i like it as well. i like when rap tracks were about the rap and the beat. today too many rappers are concerned about the hooks (big problem with Eminem lately). they are more important than the rapping these days. they are used as the selling point of their songs, the catchier the better aka more radio friendly. and we all know radio friendly rap, is usually not good rap.

The big epic-song-on-a-roof-top hook thing needs to stop. now. As you say, Eminem is a chief culprit.
Another point about 'Otis' - I like it, but it really just makes me want to listen to "Try A Little Tenderness".
Or watch The Commitments.
