I plan on going for a long ride on the bike paths and also help out a friend this weekend. I also have some books to read. Pretty mellow weekend really.

It was weird that we wound up in Devon when we were working in the UK. It was a fun spot, surprisingly. We were just getting out of London when they invaded Iraq. (y)

This weekend I am finishing up a couple of projects for some clients, mowing the lawn, pulling the ivy off of the dining room windows....that's about all I can think of so far.

And after all that is done, I will be running amok through the house playing with my ten month old son and new ten week old puppy.

We're going to have to.

Setting off tomorrow lunchtime: Chester-Shrewsbury-Ross on Wye-Avebury-Portsmouth. Then overnight ferry to St. Malo and follow the coast down to La Rochelle and then inwards to the Dordogne region to stay for a week and drink some vin rouge and eat foie gras. Eight days of cycling, about 850 miles.

Spent Friday with my girlfriend, we went for a walk by the river before we got some fish and chips and sat on a bench watching the ducks. Yesterday we went into London and had a picnic in Hyde Park before going to the Natural History museum for a few hours. We then went to a Thai restaurant for dinner before we went home and watched a DVD together. Today she has work to do so I'm going to see some family and then visit my friend a bit later on.

It's been really nice so far.
