Best Beastie Boys show you ever saw was....

For me, it has to be Glasgow Barrowlands on, I think, 7th May 1995. Might have the date wrong there, though.

What a show. I was absolutely blown away, having not heard any of the records since License to Ill at the time. Shame on me. But I soon put that right. The show was just so goddamn funky, man.

I remember that the best song was Shake Your Rump, even though I didn't know it at the time. I think it was second song in (anyone have a setlist?). If I remember correctly they were interviewed by Q magazine after this show about the tour and went to The Garage club in the city centre for the aftershow.

Either in Fairfax, on the Ill Communication tour when John Spencer and the Roots opened, or the last one I saw which was the Rock the Vote concert in Richmond. That Ill Com tour was bananas. Shows selling out in 2 minutes and whatnot. Before the Beasties came on people would pack in so tight on the floor that you litterally had trouble breathing because of the pressure on your lungs. Beasties used to be notoriious for making people wait and then when they came on it was total insanity. Crowds are definately not like that now (which is probably a good thing). Beasties at the height of their power on that.

The Rock the Vote show was just cool. All hip hop. Good vibe.

Well that's a tough one I have only been to two shows and they both were so different yet so incredible in their own ways, the first was lollapalooza 94 and wow is all I can say it was at an old airforce base in Kingston rhode island I went with 5 friends all packed in my car it was the first concert I went to and it was insane, the beastie boys stole the show, they came out after George Clinton and the crowd went crazy you couldn't move I will never forget how awesome they were and at the end of the night leaving all everyone kept talking about was how the beasties were so dope me and my friends had a blast. The second show was a gala event in the Boston opera house and it was also insane but it was a much much smaller venue which was more of a for the fan personal experience and hearing songs with live instruments that I never heard that way before was great, I was older the crowd was different and I really enjoyed myself, was supposed to go to the beasties rage show in 2000 or whatever had tickets and everything but mike got hurt riding his bike I think, anyways they are such great entertainers, with a huge huge amount of great songs and I can't wait to see them again.

NYC May 1995 - the garden was wild on this night. Still searching for a recording of this show. I used to believe one would surface eventually. However, that is looking less likely as time passes.
