Learnign How to Type

So my boss has just noticed that I do not type correctly. I do not type much at my job, but he insists that I learn how to type and will allocate me 15 minutes every day to do so. How can I learn something I have spend my whole life doing wrong?

I have only ever used Mario Teaches Typing. There's got to be some program or method that's better...

It's reprogramming your brain to type in a different way.

Ask your boss is this really a good use of my time? How fast do you have to type to be efficient at your job? If he is serious about getting you to type the correct way, you're gonna need longer than 15 minutes per day and probably a course of a few weeks.

And in today's devices of numerous keyboards (touch screen, netbooks etc) what really is the correct way to type. You adjust your style and the traditional touch-typist is no longer as essential skill as it once was in an office.

I learned how to type in high school, one of the few classes I managed to pass. One thing I used to do that helped me a lot after I memorized the standard QWERTY keyboard was to "type" what the actors were saying when I watched TV. I got really good really fast. Try it. It might help.
