well I am pretty sure someone is trying to scam me by acting like they are Mike D. The only problem is I am not sure what the scam is yet and I am not sure its not Mike D. Truth is I know its not him, but a part of me wishes it was.

Are there any other stories other than the Beastie Boys bandit were people acted like the Beastie Boys to scam someone?

Some random ass message "Mcaadrockmiked" messaged me both time I made an account on here. Spam is on here unfortunately.

Here is a little info... it says Mike D as rapper of Beastie Boys, then links to some bullshit site.

I want to sit tight for a bit and see how this plays out and I will be happy to share, but it was not contact through this board at all.

I am waiting for the part where they ask for money or some personal info.. or maybe receive a check and cash it? or tell me Im puncked...

I really dont think you should get your hopes up. Why would he randomly give somebody money out of nowhere for no reason at all?

well if you dont know..

hey here is a casheriers check for $10,000 and I need you to cash it for me and you can keep 20%.

The bank cashes it because it is a good fraud. You pass on the money and get $2000. 5 days later the bank contacts you asking for the $10g back because it was a fraud. You are responsible for $10K.

That sounds pretty weird.. dont give up any financial information like a lot of online fools fall victim to.
