Tomorrow to be exact, for 10 days! Landing in Limerick and catching a Munster rugby game, and then its off to the races with scenic heritage, tattoos and more Guinness than a blind man could shake a stick at!
any suggestions other then the Blarney stone that locals piss on when the tourist season is finally caput?
I already have my tattoo in mind or else I would promise to stereotypically scrap a drunken Irishman and get the fighting Irish tattoo on me in a really arrogant spot - such as my neck; that not being the case, I wont.
Hostel (not Hostile..maybe hostile) threesome? Sure
Should I have posted this earlier to get better feedback? Probably.
I'm hoping to find out some great places/things to check out in Southern/Eastern/Central and Western Ireland - pubs, yea of course; adventours and epic scenery to engage is the name of the game tho. I took a course in Gaelic in Uni. so I'm hoping to have some fun w it.
Fuck I am excited!
P.S. First round is on me!
It's customary to greet an Irishman with 'hello thievin-gypo'.
That's some good advice there (y)

I went to Belfast. Was insane. A bombing happened that weekend I was there and people were walking around like it was no big deal. Sad so much crap is still going down between the religious groups there.
Belfast is where the Titantic started out so I visited that too. Amazing experience.
They party like it's something they live for. Pub is closed and everybody moves into the streets to continue drinking and chatting. I was like wow lol.
Beautiful country! Have fun!!!!

I've been to Ireland 3 times. Love it!
Dingle is a great little village...one of my faves.
Galway is grand...every pub I went in was great. the Tig Coili (http://www.tigcoili.com/) had great traditional music on Sundays. The Quays is great as well. the Crane (http://www.thecranebar.com/) has great music too.
don't know exactly where you will be, but a trip out to the Aran Islands or up to the Connemara is great.
I personally don't like Dublin all that much...it is pretty much like any city. But, go to the Guinness factory and the Jameson Distillery (volunteer at the beginning for whiskey tasting!). I really enjoyed the Irish musical pub crawl that meets at Oliver St. John Gogarty's pub too.

That, was a trip of a lifetime!
Such a beautiful country; I didn't go to Northern Ireland, Galway was a beautiful city - I was tattooed there (chest piece; by far the most painful yet but I love the result!), I also enjoyed Limerick, went to a Munsters rugby game - they won! I wanted to get to the arron islands but that was the one scenic destination I didn't have time for..Did the ring of Kerry which was fucking brilliant; the tiny roads/high KM/H / random castle ruins/ tropical beach that I stripped and swam in/ was incredible. Kissed the Belarney stone..Wasn't as stoked as it seemed quite commericial but the gift of gab isn't somethin to pass up on. The cliffs of Moher were incredible as well - I think I know a crew that would rent a boat w me and climb it w me :D
The Kilmainham gaol in Dublin (and the general post office as well) were especially powerful.
The Guinness tasted incredible there too. Great people, great fun, great pubs - loved the nightlife.
Excellent trip
Didn't meet a single person that gave me any trouble for being a tourist other then the 10 mins I spent w an addict fuckhead cab driver in Boston who picked me up from the airport.
