Beasties are consistent and the nomination alone just shows they are still an amazing band after all these years. It's alright... I don't hate her for winning over them, I just never liked her period anyway. :rolleyes:

I haven't watched MTV in years. I only tuned in to see whatever they might show on Beasties and then GAGA... I was really happy about Brian May and see the Foo Fighters win was cool!!! Love all of the old rock greats. It really made me sad. I miss seeing performances like that at award shows. Now it's all one big GLEE spectacle. :(

I dont actually mind katy perry, she isnt just a face/body who sings twee songs that all the kids like. She has a personality, is a bit mental, likes a daft video,she's pretty good copy and bang tidy. I'd rather have her as pop princess then most of the others out there apart from maybe gaga who is completely fucking hatstand which you have to admire.

The entire show I realize is just the same thing as radio. They only pay attention to what is in now, and the kids pretty much run everything. That's my only explanation because a lot of bands who have been around a long time have loyal following and still sell out shows. The issue for me I think is that MTV is pretty much keeping a new generation from discovering them because for whatever reason they think they aren't relavent anymore. It's good we have you-tube because i noticed a lot of younger fans discover them that way or through their parents. (y)

Do you think Adam would still have won best direction if it were a voting category? Surely all of the Katy Perry pop fans who have time to sit and vote exessively all day would have gotten her a win. Yauch still deserved it though and I am glad it was judged by on the actual creativity that went into the video and not just populatity purposes... :rolleyes:

1. Just to see the bboys mentioned on this show is somewhat of a victory, people.

2. The lady gaga schtick was way overdone and got mad annoying.

3. Wtf lil Wayne? That performance was awful! Ugly as hell lol, nice fucking skinny jeans, and every word of his hip hop song was edited. He was trying to create a "classic moment" and failed miserably. And I kinda like Wayne.

4. That Adele performance had me melting. Heard of her but never really listened to her. Song was amazing.

5. Jay and Kanye were so so. Kanye looked like he was fucked up on something or just concentrating way too hard. He was robotic.

6. Made me lmao when Tyler the creator's vulgar ass was on stage and they kept panning to mom crying and repeating "thank u lord...thank u lord.". Yeah.....baby jesus just loves odd future.
