so who is to blame vulvano?
The company who more than likely is facing growing fierce competition from outsourced manufacturing of these green products?
The government for putting money into something that needs to be initiated in this country as a form of freeing us from energy dependence on foreign nations and with hopes of generating jobs?
The company that is going bankrupt?
The workers?
who?
Also - what has been put into this is chump change compared to what bush put into the Middle East profit wars
How come you're not concerned about the many Oil companies who are destroying out environment and not paying a single penny in taxes...not to mention the obscene govt subsidies *cough* Corpo-Welfare *cough* they recieve while posting insane profits.
you're selective choosing which government waste you're against proves it's just politics for you, this is manufacturing - a very blue collar form of employment, you should be concerned that it's not holding up - or is it just the fact that is a "green" company?
DO I want to see this shit happening, absolutely not - this company should pay back their loan in full....as should every company (repub supported as well) that's living off the government.

bush isnt president anymore,
bush didnt push the money into this failed adventure.
so you admit that it is bs that obama is partially basing his recovery on green jobs when it seems like every green initiative the govt touches has failed.
so yes, let raise taxes on profitable businesses and corporations so we can use that money to blow on a never ending stream of failed govt ventures.
of course, i am sure union work rules and over govt regulation had something to do with making it cheaper to move some of these jobs overseas
may be chump change, but one more of a lot of piles of chump change, wasted on obama's failed stimulus program.
its even coming out that the obamulus didnt create jobs, it just poached jobs
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/study-stimulus-funds-primarily-used-poach-workers-not-hire-unemployed_592041.html
why can you not face it that obama has been a total massive failure as a president. they guy even requires 2 teleprompters for a 3 minute speech?
http://nation.foxnews.com/president-obama/2011/08/29/seriously-obama-uses-2-teleprompters-3-minute-speech
he is nothing but an empty suit.

I didn't say bush was to blame - but it seemed there was very little concern over the money being shoved to the wars and contractors and apparently now in the hands of our enemies.
I share the same disbelief with how these businesses are failing and I didn't support the bush/obama bail out. Can we completely blame Obama? There are a substantial amount of repubs in Congress if you seem to forget.
It's obvious this company was mismanaged or just couldn't compete and they need to answer why they failed.
But in the meantime, let's throw millions to the Oil companies who will push to drill on our land and ship the oil out to the world market - any idiot who thinks that domestic drilling will keep the oil here is ignorant.
Green energy is an inevitable necessity - it's not going to be perfect and people need to held liable (the failed businesses)
By the look of the article the business wanted more money and didn't get it - the story really doesn't give much explanation as to how or why this happened.

at least the oil companies hire people and pay taxes. how many people lost their jobs and how much tax money was lost due to this failed govt backed solar energy company? the only thing green about all these promised green jobs is the green money wasted on them.
um, BO and the Dems controlled congress his first 2 years, that gave us obamacare, massive debt, failed stimulus, and other failures. remember the promises of 8% unemployment? remember the 400,000 jobs to be created by obamacare?
of course, i am going to assume that based on your reference to congress, you likewise blame the dems who controlled it during bush's last 2 years, the same 2 years that this whole thing began to fall apart?????
dont you get it? 99.99% of what the govt touches turns to shit. the only govt solution to a problem is to throw more money at the problem. govt aint the solution, its the problem.
and as far your continued bitching about bush, guess what. every president leaves his successor a nice pile of shit. JFK to LBJ, LBJ to Nixon, and on and on. unfortunately, W Bush left a nice pile of shit to BO and BO has turned it into a massive clusterfucked shit storm.
now its off to deal with hurricane yard waste and hit some bike trails.
have a good labor day.

oh really?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/how-much-do-oil-companies-really-pay-in-taxes/2011/05/11/AF7UNutG_story.html
Not so, say critics of the oil industry; the Center for American Progress says the oil giant’s effective federal income tax rate is about half the 35 percent standard for U.S. companies. The liberal-leaning think tank, citing Exxon Mobil’s filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, says the corporation didn’t pay any federal income tax in 2009.

this green job hired people as well - many are, even the ones who pack up and move to China, someone is working - albeit not Americans

as opposed to General Electric, whose CEO sits on Obama's Job Council or some kind of full of shit council, and who is now the minority owner of liberal MSNBC, the official mouthpiece of the Obama administration?

and you think I support that?
I'm just as equally disgusted, Obama is making bad moves - and the corpo-pubs have no complaints, except when it's politically convenient
thanks for being an idiot

Compared to the fleecing of America under bush's watch (billions lost in the Middle East) it looks like "BIG" government may very well be paying attention to this...

FBI agents searching Solyndra in Fremont
(09-08) 08:24 PDT FREMONT -- FBI agents are serving search warrants this morning at Solyndra, the Fremont solar company that abruptly closed last week, an agency official said.
The search is part of a joint investigation involving the FBI and the Department of Energy's Office of Inspector General, said FBI spokeswoman Julianne Sohn, who declined to elaborate.

oh yeah, you're right "Moving Forward", let's not worry about those billions lost to the ether called Bush's Wars and bitch about green jobs under Obama
I support a complete investigation behind this, I do not support the waste of my tax dollars for any corporate corruption...under any administration
by the way - Obama's been in the doghouse with me for some time
p.s.
want privatization? Expect more of this...

Solargate, Fast and Furious, unemployment, stock market, national debt.
Everything this administration touches turns to complete crap.
Solargate gets uglier, and executives houses are raided, and the Obama administration actually sat in on company meetings:

Wall Street didnt like BO's speech too much, but what else do you expect from a man who hate capitalism and has never had to meet a company payroll, much less have an actual real job or ever had to work "for the man":

oh my Michelle Obama was at a tennis match, what next?! She hosts a Christmas Party!?!
She should be running the country!!!
would you like to see bush's vacation days? or is that another selective fact you choose to ignore.
oh and Boehner was golfing and bitched about his game and the lousy course he played on to Biden....oh boy, good lord - string him up!
Once again - it is a good thing this company is being held to the fire and the government is holding them accountable and investigating - I have a feeling that is what pisses you off the most.
Too bad BlackWater, Haliburton, and Carlyle Group never received the same treatment from bush.
