What would you suggest are things that are awesome/necessary to do? I'm not a big gambler, not into shows, but we have a car so could realistically travel out to other places.

Hoover Dam, Bunny Ranch (http://www.bunnyranch.com), oh, and check here (http://www.visitlasvegas.com/activities/attractions/), they have a nice list of attractions.

I'm a couple hundred miles South, and it's been hot as hell, I hope it's cooler up there, but I doubt it. If so, keep indoors.

Have Fun!

haha, I can relate to this, I didn't like Vegas too much.

Have fun tho. I remember that it looks like day at night because of all the BRIGHT LIGHTS.

I'm not a Vegas veteran, but I had to work there a few weekends. I didn't have time to go to shows or money to gamble.

I did however have a really nice dinner in the Venetian. There's kind of a fake Venice looking area up there, and it's fun to walk along the canal (although I know guys who had to stay in the hotel, and they were sick to death of it after a couple days).

The Belagio fountains are cool to see, and it's generally just neat the first time to walk along the strip and see all the signs, fake Eiffel Tower, NYC stuff etc.

Went to the gun range today and shot a 1911 pistol, an uzi, an hk33 and a 12 gauge. So fucking awesome.

The Valley of Fire is really cool and about an hour's drive outside of Vegas. It's all bright red rock with cool formations, like an elephant, a bridge, etc. The neon graveyard is kind of cool and there's an atom bomb museum that's interesting.

Inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel is the world's largest chandelier, that is encased with bars inside. Drinking bars, not steel bars. Plus, it's a beautiful place to hang out for a couple of hours and people watch. Lots of star spotting there too.

The top of the Mandarin Oriental hotel at night has a great bar with unique cocktails and a spectacular view of the Strip.

You can zipline down at Fremont Street now, which is taking you from one side to the other over all kinds of freaky tourists.

Food. Get the world buffet or the seafood buffet at the Rio. I am serious.

Minus 5 at Mandalay (http://www.minus5experience.com/locations/) seems like something that would be fun to experience at least once.

If you happen to be near by anyway, check by Revolution Lounge at The Mirage as there are some nights where they offer free champagne until midnight for women. The music isn't all that great oddly enough (you would think they would play The Beatles but no, they don't) but when I went it 1) wasn't crazy packed and it was a weekend 2) it was not meat-market like and 3) free champagne. Made it worth a stop.

Also at The Mirage, The Beatles LOVE show is fantastic.

Bellagio fountains are worth a watch. Sometimes they play good music with it, sometimes they don't. I got stuck with the Titanic theme song myself unfortunately.

I remember the Wynn buffet having some really good food, but it was overshadowed when for desert I amazing crème brûlée.

It's kinda kitschy, but there is an area in the Venetian where gondolas go by. Usually it's a couple who paid for the ride complete with a serenade. If you just stand near by though you can hear the singers and they are actually very, very talented.

In about 24 hours, I'll be at Vegas for a family reunion; unfortunately, I only have 100 dollars left so hopefully any lost family members I've never met before might pay the more expensive tabs, otherwise, it looks like I might just site see.

But that Buffet sound good though Lunch being 21 bucks is quiet dicey.

Muahaha good thing I saw this...

OK, so the buffet at the M on the southern border of Vegas is the bomb and you get free beer and wine!

Town Square just south of the Mandalay Bay is a neat outdoor shopping area with a really nice movie theatre and some great eats.

kll mentioned City Center/Cosmo, definately check this out and I hear there's a secret pizza place inside if you can find it...

If you feel like a drive head out to Boulder City south of Vegas on the 95 on sunday for a big BBQ fest.

The fountains are really cool at Bellagio, but I'd go at night when it's cooler after the winds die down tonight.

If you can get in, Ghost Bar at the Palms is an amazing view of the city and I am pretty sure I saw Mario Lopez chillin one night there.

For a local favorite, hit up Hash House A Go-Go on West Sahara near Rainbow, amazing food.

Shark Reef at Mandalay is pretty cool, me and the family go there every couple months.

If you're up late, drunk, and hungry, check out the Cafe at Mandalay Bay as well, fantastic grilled cheese and tomato soup.

You already hit up the Gun Store, so good job. Skanky neighborhood though.

Just stay cool and hydrated, maybe check out Rehab Sunday at the Hard Rock Hotel if you're up for some Jersey Shore action. Or if you go to the M pool you can rent a shaded day bed for $100 and they'll actually apply that to your bar tab (pro tip - everywhere else will charge $200+ for the cabana/day bed and then require at least a $200 bottle service)
