really, really shit me. Not in the sense that they can't stop talking, but in the sense that their at rest, or default, facial position is open-mouthed. In the wild, surely these would be the first people raped by elephants.

I guess it is what would be referred to as 'slack jaw', but the particular vexatious perpetrator at my work is far from a yokel. They are just super principled and generally annoying, and the fact that they hang the lower half of their head free and loose to catch bugs is the icing on the fuckwit-flavoured cake.

"mouthbreather" is a newly accepted term for a slack jawed yokel.

Maybe they have a deviated septum and can't breathe through their nose.

I think this is my problem.

Sometimes I think my mouth is closed, but it's open.

when I relax my face, my jaw opens and my upper and lower teeth don't touch. I try to keep my lips closed though, to be polite.

a friend of mine hates open mouth people and says they've got OMS, "open mouth syndrome". I think she made it up.

this is actually what's considered normal and healthy. i don't remember why but it's something i remember from health class. i think it has something to do with stess. like how if you're stressed and you conciously relax your shoulders you feel better. it's the same thing with your jaw.

My boyfriend is a "mouth-breather". Sometimes I look at him and I just want to throw something at him....and when he sleeps at night, he looks like a dead opossum and I want to gag and throw something at him again...I still luf him though :p :D
