Alright guys here is the Interview they did with Blag before Yauch got sick.. It was while they were in Europe around June 2009. PS- I love that Yauch calls himself the Minister of Hot Sauce!!!!!!!! :cool:

Excerpt:

At lunch the day before we recorded this Adam Yauch turned to me and asked, “Can we do something with you guys that has nothing to do with the album?” He sprinkled some freshly cut chilli over his lunch and continued, Can we do something on food?”

“Of course!” I said.

The next day we meet at their hotel. In a small basement room, Adam Horovitz, Mike D and Adam Yauch occupy a sofa at the far end. Each display their personalities-Mike poised with legs crossed, sipping a wine glass of water, Adam Yauch laid back as usual and Adam Horovitz perched forward and chipper. They’re surrounded by garish wallpaper and a clashing piece of art. The rest is a self explanatory, somewhat unconventional Ten Essential…….

Sally: I was thinking we could do Ten Essential Food and Drinks for Refuel or Ten Essential Food and Drinks in Your Dreams, and I came up with ten areas going across the day. So you’d start with a drink, then have breakfast, then elevenses…

Adam Y: Elevenses?

Sally: Yeah. Do you know what that is?

Adam Y: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It’s a kind of mid-breakfast, lunch-thing.

Sally: Then a lunch, a dessert, an afternoon tea, a three course dinner and a night cap-and that makes ten things. Does that sound good?

Adam Y: Yeah.

Sarah: You know what the Ten Essential is, don’t you?

Mike: Huh? What?

Sarah: [laughs] A Ten Essential.

Mike: I do them all the time. I’ve done them for BLAG, I’ve done them for a lot of big publications…Mademoiselle.

Sarah: [laughs] Mademoiselle magazine?

Adam H: Really? For their online content? Or for the magazine?

Adam Y: Is that the same time I was on the cover of Vogue?
[laughing]

Sarah: It’s basically a tips or how to guide. Mike did a travel one for us.

Adam H: Mike should do one on houses and like where to put a kitchen and stuff.

Mike: Yeah, I have a lot of very strong opinions on that.

Adam Y: You should do a Top Ten Places to Choke Mike.

Adam H: That would be a good idea.

Sally: Oh, so you could do one each then?

Adam H: Top Ten Bags of Mike’s to Shit In.
[Turns to Mike] I didn’t do that…yet.

Adam H: I’ll do that. I’ll do that for you. We can do that and we can video tape it.

Adam Y: First question, Sally. You have the floor.
[Clicks fingers at Adam H to pay attention.

Adam H put his hand up, Adam Y, jokingly pushes his hand away.]

Sally: Well, it seems you’re doing one each at the moment.

Adam H: I don’t really understand it, but…what do I do?

Sally: Top Ten Bags to Shit in?

Adam H: That’s a separate piece.

Adam Y: I’m doing foods?

Sally: You can either do all of the foods or you can share it?

Mike: I’m completely lost, but what I’m going to do is just follow these guys and try to seem really smart.

Sally: This wasn’t planned. You know this, right?

Adam H: No, I know. So what’s the first one we’re doing?

Oh I didn't think about that. IN fact reading the interview I kept wondering what they meant by "it's in the lyrics" but now it makes sense, they were referring to part 1 because that's what they were promoting at that time. Holy shit I hope we do get to experience part 1 in all its glory with new lyrics, songs.... (y)

You're confused. Part 1 at that time was what became the Part 2 we now have. At that time they would have been referencing a lyric in the then-Part 2, unless I've massively misunderstood something.

Mike seems to be sensitive so maybe that's why. I dunno, but both Adam's sometimes seem to have this "whatever attitude" and Mike has to be very precise. So for instance when Yauch would comment on something he knows Mike does, Mike feels like if he isn't describing it to his liking then he has to step in and reiterate it. It's sorta fun reading and watching their interactions.

I think one of my fave moments is the live video they recorded on Paul's Boutique 25th anniversary and Yauch was teasing Mike about how big the shirt was on him or something to that effect.... and Mike got so frustrated with him. Forgot what he said but it was funny. It's hilarious when they tease each other. :o

Yeah I have seen the Paul's Boutique anniversary video when they were on Skype or something, but I think Mike openly PLAYS the frustated, he doesn't take that seriously too...and just play the game when the others make fun at him ...I think, just my impression, the one who might take the things the "most" seriously would be Adam Horovitz, he seems to me the most emotional and sensitive of the three..." just saying"..I think Mike doesn't really give a fuck what the others think of him..

the dialogue was someting like that:

After Mike show in details his Paul's Boutique T-Shirt :

the guy: "what's wrong with your T shirt Mike ? it looks very large, what size is it?"

Mike : " well uh "

Yauch: "yeah I think it's a random medium size or something but on Mike it looks like an XXL.." ..laughs

and Mike was like "Heyyy WTF..what?..well ok " and then take off his T shirt and trew it violently on the table

Basically it was that to my memory...all that was not serious at all..especially from Mike...

Ha their interviews are hilarious because of the way they pick at each other. Like the andpop interview when Mike is talking about the "Glue deal" and he goes "As far as I know nobody dies from glue" and Adrock goes "Except for horses, unless you dont care about that, but thats cool Mike" and Mike goes "they dont use horses in the glue.." I laughed so hard.


He sure is the biggest smart ass though because hes intelligent and as you said precise. Again in the andpop interview the guy said "Spontinuity" and Mike goes "Spontinuity? Thats not a word" all alarmed. Ha!

The andpop is one of my favorite video interviews! Mike on the floor while Yauch continues to laugh at the situation. Yauch actually I think it humored a lot of times by both Horovitz and Mike. Good thing they still crack each other up like that. I love it!!
