If there are any fans out there, I just found out about this today. You might have seen it on the BBC if you live in the UK. Otherwise its on YouTube and getting a DVD/Blu-ray release soon.

Has some amazing archival footage, especially in the last section, which includes behind the scenes footage of Freddy filmming the last Queen promo vid just months before his death.

Tragic and amazing stuff, and not just an average bioflick. Fully got me back into the group, I'm spinning The Miracle right now. Check it out.

I saw this in England when it was broadcast. I still think the same thing. Mercury obviously didn't want full colour footage of himself looking so ill to be made available then, so why should it be released now?

That said, it is a good doc!

Thats true, they put a lot of effort into the original These are the days to make him appear as slick as possible, so it kind of defeats the purpose to see the colour footage.

But still I'm one of these fans that treasure such footage, especially the band fooling around on the I'm Going Slightly Mad set. Its tough to see a legend in such weak condition, but a triumph considering what he was able to achieve in such a frail state.

I think the worst thing for the Queen legacy is the Paul Rodgers tour. Not that I got see them, but I heard bits of the album, it didn't blow me away. Should have used a different name I think, the Queen title was obviously just a revenue generating ploy. I appreciate Roger and Brian still wanting to make music and play live, but they could just as easily use a different name.
