I can't believe it's really been 25 years. I was only 8 years old when it was released Novemeber 15th, 1986.
It's my second favorite BB album right next to Paul's Boutique. My favorite songs have always been Posse in Effect, No Sleep Till Brooklyn and Slow and Low.
Favorite performances have been the ones on Soul Train and then the way they would perform the first album during Check Your Head era! I mean the live shows were amazing.

The fact that Def Jam still can't work up an anniversary reissue baffles...
My favorite song on LTI is The New Style, in hindsight the breakdown when the song switches at the end... is just foreshadowing to how creative the Boys would get with song structure, in the rest of their catalog.
No to mention The King Ad-Rock's DRRROOPPP is a Hip-Hop staple and has been used by more Dj's then your mom's shower!!!

I will have to listen to the New Style again then. (y) And the reissue for LTI should be done. Just by doing that will probably put it right back on the charts yet again. It's a timeless piece of musical art.

Happy Birthday! In celebration I've started a rap crew called Posse in Effect! Seems appropriate to shamelessly plug it here if anyone is interested
