Y'all think the album will get nominated? It should, but mainstreem music is weird these days

good point, we will find out this Wednesday.

if the original version of Too Many Rappers got a nod in '09, I don't see why any tracks (or the album as a whole) wouldn't get any...

seems the beastie boys are getting plenty of nominations at least, when it comes to awards ceremonies lately

exactly, especially make some noise, because it was on FFYRR, and they played it on the movie/music awards, i remember hearing it in the background:cool:(y)

I always thought that the Too Many Rappers grammy nod was kinda strange.

Yeah, I agree. There wasn't even a video, I don't think too many people even knew it was released at all.

I'm sure they'll be nominated for the best duo/group categories. They'll probably also get that best packaging grammy they got for TT5B.

Hello Nasty is my least favorite album. It has some hits on there but it has way too many misses.

Hello Nasty was the first album from the Beastie Boys that I used the skip button. Every album before that I would listen to the whole thing straight through.

I still love the album, but it's way too long and it's the first time they added filler tracks. If they would have cut out the following tracks: Song for the Man, Just a Test, Flowin Prose, And Me, Electrify, and the worst song the Beasties ever made.... Dr. Lee PHD, it would have been a classic album.

The rest of the songs on the album are stellar, top notch tracks! They should have kept it at 16 tracks and it would have been one of the greatest albums of all time.

Definitely not my favorite but man that's a bold statement. And what's wrong with just a test?

Just a Test is an OK song but not up to the Beastie A+ standard. It is definitely better than the other 5 songs I listed, but I just think they should have used the 6 songs I listed as B sides for the singles they released.

Hello Nasty has 16 really great songs on there that the flow of the album shouldn't be interupted with mediocre songs. The good songs on there are SO good that it had the potential to be one of their best albums.

I'm not arguing with your opinion or anything, but I love those weird songs on the album. They were stepping out the box even further and I feel they fit in the album. Although I think they could have gone without Dedication and Dr Lee. Dedication could have been the outro to the Unite or something also.

Dr Lee PHD is a great song and possibly one of the best cameos they put on an album.

The Bossanova joints were filler.

The dub version and album cut of PHD knocks.
