My wish would be for them to play Riot Fight and/or Egg Raid on Mojo with Kate on drums. That would be fantastic.

Im gonna have to agree with you MrSmiley, that would be the coolest possible bunch of songs for them to play.

Although I'd request maybe White Shadow as well. Perhaps just a straight up B.E.A.S.T.I.E. Boys would be fitting as well.

And the world cringes.

I loved Micodin's idea of Posse In Effect. That would be amazing.

Surely if they performed they would just trot out Sabotage.

I'd love for them to be like "nah" and represent some more of their actual hip-hop, but that's assuming they even perform.

I'd bet they would do something like at the HHHonors show. New Style into SWW.

But this time I'd go Posse into Root Down. With a little Make Some Noise at the end...

I wonder how much will be broadcast and what will be cut. I haven't watched the coverage in a decade or more. When it was on MTV/VH1, I think they broadcast about 1/4 of the show and it was never the bits I wanted to see. But the good news is that none of the inductees is a superstar this time around, so maybe they can all get a little airtime.

Who will induct the BBs? Eminem did a nice job with Run DMC. There have been some really cringeworthy speeches over the years, but some pretty good ones too.

High plains drifter would be awesome but I know that wont happen :(

I'd like them to play some of the songs that they were individual in. Flowin prose' Remote control, and sabotage. That'd be awesome.

Realistically, i'd like to hear heres a little something for ya and rhyme the rhyme well!

Where would the ceremony be?

Where would the ceremony be?

In a building in Cleveland. I believe it's called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I could be wrong tho. Google it.

I think the show takes place at an arena or auditorium, not at the hall of fame, but I've never been to Cleveland so I really don't know.

Ha your sarcasm is fucking so beautiful ain't it?
Its minimal actually, very basic "wow I am just SO fkn clever" sarcasm.
Sarcasm is my middle name, so you can just take that to someone else because it made me laugh. No need to be rude to me sir when I was unsure, I would not be rude to you for asking. I've been to the RnR HOF before.

I wasn't sure if they did the ceremony there or elsewhere such as what Documad said. My bad for being curious Micodin. ;)

remember: they will have to share, and probably jam with some bands of different genres, so the song choices will indeed be interesting.

excellent point DM, like when Steven Tyler and Joe Perry joined the remaining members of Led Zeppelin in '95 for Train Kept a Rollin into Bring It On Home.

On that note, what are some good combos or mashups they could play?

I see a rousing version of Sabotage with Anthony Kiedis and Dave Navarro joining the fray.

Keep these dudes the fuck away. No Sleep with the OG GnR is a better proposition, and even that's sorta wrong.

They all have the ability to perform unlike GnR or whatever version they will trot out that night

It's tough to know because much of the event isn't on TV, but I'm pretty sure that when the members of the band are actually alive and capable of performing, they get to do something without a lot of other losers onstage with them. Talking Heads performed alone. Most of those awkward combos are because the artist doing the inducting is a friend (Jimmy Page inducting Jeff Beck) or the artist isn't capable of performing alone (probably Jeff Beck :p). Then there's that everybody-get-on-stage jam at the end, which is usually pretty awkward but hopefully by that point everyone already had their individual spotlight.

Dedication is one of their most underrated tracks. I friggin love that song! obviously they would never do a live version, but that song kicks...

It's sad, I wouldn't be lookin foward to a live GnR performance at all.
Axls voice was studio adjusted enough as it is, I can't even imagine how they'd sound live now...
And Slash is kind of a tool now. :P

In this context, as I'm only interested in the Beastie Boys' induction, I consider RHCP and GnR completely and equally irrelevant.
