Just read he's passed...love him,hate him or love to hate him,he was a hell of an interesting man and always an articulate interview...as an athesist he's now seen what lays beyond the curtain even if it's nothing...everyone should read "God Is Not Great" in my opinion...(y)

He had an ability as an speaker that to me seems almost super human, to construct a phrase on the cuff that would have taken me weeks of toiling with a pen and paper. If anyone is unfamiliar with him, just search for Hitchslap on youtube to see him in full flow. I didnt like a lot of his politics but damn this guy was awesome - RIP.

I saw him live at Illinois State University in 2004 on stage during a discussion with my professor of middle east studies. Pretty cool guy. He smoked and drank onstage and he got alot of boos from the audience, even some heckling. During audience Q&A one guy asked him "How does it feel to be called the Anakin Skywalker of liberal politics?" He just responded "I don't understand that reference."
Defenitly high brow. RIP
