that may or may not be called HSC Part one.

So when they were making the album they obviously revisited a lot of old stuff and took bits from each of their albums but i noticed that there are almost now recognisable samples or cuts from other tracks or no sign of mixmaster mike.
I'm wondering if they took the decision to put out the more instrument led stuff as the album and that the remaining stuff is laden with samples and cuts a la pauls boutique and parts of CYH/IC.

just a thought

yeah i was waffling and my boss was knocking about so i kinda rushed it

i was trying to say that they have apparently produced a massive bunch of songs which were split into two parts and i think that what was released was instrument-led stuff with hardly any samples on. i am guessing that all the stuff where they might have sampled a lot of stuff or used MMM is on what people are now referring to as HSCP1. Which will hopefully come out one day soon.

I dont think that songs that havent been released yet are lesser than what came out just different and i think samples/cuts could be the difference.

sounds a bit better.

Yeah not lesser, but can't say what makes them different. We'll find out soon I guess. (y)

I think HSC ptI is the same album as HSC pt2.
the tracks are the same, just that the beasties' set them in a different order, make some arranges, etc. I think they told that in an interview way back.

They said they made enough songs for two albums.

I have my own theory that hscpt1 will come bundled with the gala event details dvd and the vocal mix up album.

^ That would be cool... Maybe even a collectors edition with the Hello Nasty Submarine mixes faithfully restored on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl. ;)

Except for the fact that of those things, the remaining Hot Sauce songs are the only thing that actually does exist.

this was the beasties email that made me said that:

In what can only be described as a bizarre coincidence, following an exhaustive re-sequence marathon, Beastie Boys have verified that their new Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 will be composed of the same 16 tracks originally slated for inclusion on Hot Sauce Committee Part 1. The record (part 2 that is) will be released as planned in spring 2011 on Capitol. The tracks originally recorded for Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 (which now are actually back on Part 1) have now apparently been bumped to make room for the former Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 material. Wait, what? "I know it's weird and confusing, but at least we can say unequivocally that Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 is coming out on time, which is more than I can say about Part 1, and really is all that matters in the end." says Adam "MCA" Yauch. "We just kept working and working on various sequences for part 2, and after a year and half of spending days on end in the sequencing room trying out every possible combination, it finally became clear that this was the only way to make it work. Strange but true, the final sequence for Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 works best with all its songs replaced by the 16 tracks we originally had lined up in pretty much the same order we had them in for Hot Sauce Committee Part 1. So we've come full circle."

my english is not good at all, but Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 will be composed of the same 16 tracks originally slated for inclusion on Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 that's what I was trying to say. anyway im so glad they have lot of stuf more to realease

i took that as the band having a laugh. Trying to make light of the reason why it was delayed. I think the whole schedule was changed and they would probably want more time to re-do any unreleased stuff. I dont think the whole part one and two would work unless the albums came out in quick succession. I think they dealt with it in light hearted fashion.

They also said that when it was going to come out as part one that there would be other songs. So that tells me that there is some other songs.

I hope they will come out in some guise

yeah Uru is holding on to that notion that there was some real reason for the changeup besides a two year delay.

the time off gave them time to re-evaluate their product and tweak it.

now we hopefully get to hear B-sides or what would have been B sides, or what would have been Part Two had they made Part 1.

but now they can call it Part 1.

I'm still holding out for that Gala Event Footage

When they come out it will be good, and for a good reason, and people will say "good". And the type of times it will be will be good. And the type of shit it will be will be good.

I was just making an offhand joke. I can't imagine that they would just toss the other HSC songs aside. It would be nice to see them released as 7" subscription singles like AH mentioned. If they go for a digital only release, I hope they opt for releasing the stem files so that we get a final mix, instrumental, A Capella, and individual mono tracks (a la NIN).
