France is not only about food and wine...In a interview, they were talking and jocking about the french bashing since the 11/09 and AdRock said something like "but we're not part of that bashing, we drank a lot of french wine"...like you know it would change something...or it would be something that warms our hearts...
You know, it's like I was saying: "Me, as french, looove America, I eat Mc Dornals and drink coca cola"... WTF?

It's no joke, people just think because they drink wine they do like french or interrsted in french culture...that is just a fact..the boys just illustrate it, joke or not... :)

I don't know, I think the "media" preceives them a certain way. I always gathered they were interested in many different cultures. Yeah they love New York but their travels and experiences show that they enjoy a lot more.

Well New York brings all of those cultures together that they love so much. :):) I do see your point though and if its true then it's probably because it's their hometown and they are just proud of it. Mike is a wine fanatic and like myself, I am not joking when I say French wine is really damn good. But I get it, there is more to it. I wouldn't travel there just for the wine. It's a lovely country. :)

I have traveled there. I have traveled to a lot of countries. I am glad I do because I look at things differently when I get back home. But no haven’t lived there. One of my good friends lives there so I know a “little” through her.

But one thing I won't do is pretend I know more than you so trust me I understand what you're saying. ;)

Siiiiick story. Would be nice if people who met them could handle the privilege with some aplomb. Outside of the admins I think Thad is the most recent example of a humble, 'near-band' experience. Others just rant about special connections and laud it over people. It's ironic that even the most grounded band inspires such haughtiness.

But I'm not going to back-and-forth it; sorry for the remark.

Because that's not me.
It really makes me sad to be so misunderstood.

Exaltation, happiness, energy turned into arrogance by wrong interpretation.

Internet stress and anger/frustration turned into disdainfulness.

That's what happens when there is no real interaction just post-interpretation.

It's cool for Thad anyway...but you know people are not all the same.

Being a musician myself I have an experience with people too you know and haughtiness is witnessed when someone apparently likes your band, not because they feel the music or care, it just makes them cool to be near you and in general they wish they were you and take your place, greedy of your power, in one word, losers.
Fortunately, there are few isolated cases. In general people come up to me after shows with shiny eyes and are super cool and supportive.
Since the interpretation is so wrong, I am wondering if me typing this is considered arrogance here....the world 's gone mad.
