Adrock @ Portlandia Tour

So I was at this portlandia tour last night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, and my dude Adam Horovitz was a surprise guest star. Needless to say, I was pretty psyched...

He did a short NY Q&A sort of thing when he came out, then joined them again on stage for their final musical performance of the night on guitar.

For those who don't know, portlandia is a sketch comedy show on IFC starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein.

I don't think even half the kids there knew who he even was, haha.

Thought I'd share. Theres some footage floating around already I think, but I'm gonna upload the videos I took in a little bit.

King Adrock finally shows his face again! I knew he would eventually, although I hope when he said he was busy working that he was really busy working with ADAM and MIKE! Anyway I posted it on my Beastie twitter to let other fans know. thanks again! :p

Love the live appearance, but it seems like Fred and Carrie totally wasted 10 minutes of Adrock's life, treating him like an 8-year old boy on Captain Kangaroo. (Yes, I know, it's part of the shtick.)

Sorry, I'm just getting antsy.

Adrock is the coolest dude on the planet and I'm tired of seeing him play second fiddle to hipster comedy troupes and local variety shows.

I couldn't make it through one episode. It was some of the worst comedy writing I've ever seen. It seemed like more of an "attempt" at a TV show rather than an actual show. Just awful...

If a friend of mine thinks it's really clever, I have to rethink that friend.

Maybe he's just having fun? I doubt anyone FORCED him to do this. He's probably just a friend of theirs and had nothing better to do. Give it a rest folks.

I hear you. He's just doing some fun projects with his friends to keep him busy though. Atleast he hasn't completely disappeared from the public eye.
