I discussed my thoughts on this just last night with another fan/friend. My gut doesn’t feel so positive, but I tend to over-worry about every little thing, so maybe it's just ME. I use to discuss my theories on his health here but I try and watch that now though. I don’t want him to distance himself because of gossip, although it is just concern. No we’re not family and no it’s not our business but as a fan you are going to worry and wonder. I hope for an update soon. I will just stay optimistic!

If Yauch is still doing treatments then there is no way they can do a tour. It's just not possible, his body can't handle it. If you've seen him when he's had a treatment then you'd pretty much agree. I know he doesn't want the fans to see all of this so it is what it is. I hate cancer but it's only January so keep sending positive vibes his way!

Or Mike could be protecting him and the band from giving anything away because if things are going good he doesn't wanna jinx it. Or if something falls through then he'd be blamed or his words could be misinterpreted again!! ;)

Well here is the way I see it. I don’t think it matters if they intended to release it or not because they can’t do anything with it anyway. If Adam is still not well then they have two options. Release it the same way they did Part Two with minimum promotion and a few interviews here and there with Horovitz and Diamond. Or just wait it out indefinitely. I think the reason why we don’t get any updates on that is because they are probably figuring it all out, and Adam just might be in recovery for a long ass time. But their intention all along was to have two parts. I mean they stated that many many times in interviews before and after Yauch's announcement.

I enjoy HSC just as much as the next guy. fun record, really. but if these jams are the cream of the crop out of 200 songs then damn, maybe they need to spend more time on less songs than spread themselves thin over so many. once again, the record is a pleasure, but if they're making 200 songs (which is debatable), then one would naturally assume that the final cut would be a bit more mind-blowing.

I'm pretty sure he'd hit the road & go on tour in a heartbeat but there obviously must be some complications w/ MCA's health that's preventing it.
We've gone 6yrs with no new music, at least we got a new record this yr. Hopefully Yauch just gets better & can tour at some point again. But...in the meantime i'll be watchin the Tribe documentary & checkin out all the Beastie side hustles.

Both scenarios are likely. I would agree with that. All I can say again is that I know somebody that saw him awhile back at the Dali Lama event. In her opinion he looked better but not well enough to jump on a stage and perform. So I don't know, that was a few months back so who knows what sort of progression he's made since then.

I'm enjoying the side stuff. It is what it is. As long as no frieghtening news is reported then all I can assume is that the road to recovery is in progress. I think with the ceremony coming we'll know for sure how far along Yauch is. Continuing my prayers.
