Since we can't go with HSC yet...
I'm thinking mine is Wu-Tang Forever.
I just listened to it again today, and it's solid front to back, even what could be considered filler is backed with Rza at his finest on the boards.
What's yours?

I'd like to say Biggie's Life After Death but it has a more than it should wack songs.
No on 2ac.
Damn. I'm gonna have to say Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.

Madvillain - Madvillainy. Shit is fire.
As an aside, Nonstop Disco Powerpack sounds amazing on vinyl. It seems to jump out of the speakers or I'm baked.

The more I listen to it, the more Street's Disciple seems a lost classic. But still, it isn't no# 1...

Yeah, it was one of those where if you trimmed the fat you'd havea great album.

Probably the GZA, Liquid Swords. Wu Tang forever was a 4 LP (and doesn't come close to touching Liquid Swords)!

^ i think he meant 2 disc albums, like wutang forever. as in 2 actual LPs, not just 2 different sides.
i guess i'd go with the wutang one, but honestly i only heard that one, and life after death by biggie. so, mine's is not exactly the most informed opinion.

Werd, but that record was 4 LPs (8 sides). Not that it matters much.

Yeah, I guess if you go by that logic almost all of the B-Boys records were on 2 pieces of vinyl.
But I think Thad meant double albums.
Besides Triumphant and It's Yours, the Wu record has a lot of duds.

I'm just confused now. Are you guys talking about LPs or CDs?

I believe the original topic was double cd's.
Like Life After Death, Streets Disciple, Wu-Tang Forever, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, etc.

Ya, I used the wrong term. d'oh!!!
I was just asking what your favorite Hip Hop Double Album (I don't care what format) is.
I'm sure mine will be HSC, once the other half comes out, but for now the best one I can think of in Wu-Tang Forever.
I do like Speakerboxxx/The Love Below but it really is just to solo albums packaged together. They weren't made as one project that was just long enough it needed two parts.

yeah those were the best ones. duck seazon, as high as wutang get, for heaven's sake and deadly melody are also pretty amazing

hmm I've just recently been considering how well Forever has aged, how it sorta sounds ahead of its time (it was 1997 after all) and how 75% of it dominates. Reunited, Cash Still Rules/Scary Hours, Maria, A Better Tomorrow, Projects, Bells of War, MGM, Dog Sh*t, Heaterz can all go on the list with the tracks already mentioned. IMO
Life After has its moments, and it rules because it's Biggie, but I always preferred Forever. Still do.

Ture... I recently had a jones to go listen to Forever again, after not hearing it for a long minute and it is really solid all they way through.

Does Gang Starr's "Full Clip" count? I'm guessing not since it's basically a greatest hits.
A lot of people like 2Pac's "All Eyez on Me." It has a lot of interesting songs if you're into that sort of music. Some of it is a bit too gangsta for me, but it has a lot of good beats and 2Pac is still one of the greatest even if he's not one of my personal favorites.

(y) Fully agree with you there ALL EYEZ ON ME is a classic that would be my first choice. Lots of banging tracks there just brings back so many memories. Must've owned that album multiple times Bone thugs ART OF WAR is not too bad either.

I disagree with Bone Thugs. I feel like Art of War had too much filler, though not as much as Krayzie Bone's double CD.
