I'm in America!!

Just like most of you.

I went to Amsterdam, Netherlands before I flew to San Fran. Stayed in Nob Hill and I give that part of the adventure 8.5/10. Spent a night in Berkeley and I want to go back there but on evidence of what I saw I give it 8/10. Then three nights camping in Yosemite - FUCKING AWESOME! I so want to go back there, for longer. Nearly did spend another night there but had a plane to catch in Sacramento the next day so headed there - Sacramento sucks. It has a weird vibe that I think at night wouldn't be safe at night. Old Sacramento is nice during the day though. Overall 6/10.

Right now I'm in NYC - staying at a place in Harlem. I like the vibe here and getting into Manhattan is easy but not at Manhattan prices. I know it's meant to be a little scary but it really isn't - Sacramento in surburbia it felt scarier actually.

On Friday I'm off to Boston and seeing Dropkick Murphys on 17th (evening show). Still don't know how we're getting back yet as the gig finishes after the last train but others on facebook seem to have same trouble too so sharing a taxi seems like the best idea.

Anyway, just thought I'd share all that because I'm having a good time and that is what you do on the web :D

glad you're having fun!

hmmm...not sure how the taxi from Lowell back to Boston will work out. Lowell is about a 45 minute drive from Boston. I'd offer to pick you up...but I may be drunk at a bar! ;)

Back in London today. Technically haven't slept since Sunday night - so tired. I envy those who can sleep on planes.

Boston is awesome btw - might actually rate it higher than New York.

But my GF & I think that if we ever make a move to the new world we'll aim for San Fran. If Boston was on the west coast then we'd have a tough choice.

I've visited my fair share of major cities in the US and Portland is still my favorite. Especially due to it's walkability and conversely the ease in finding a parking spots everywhere if you are driving.

They also have the best coffee. period.

I recommend that you americanos take a trip up to Montreal, QC next time you want to a non-overseas vacation. You will not be disappointed (and you don't need to know French to visit Montreal, most everyone is bilingual enough to cater to tourists)

Portland is one of my favorite cities too. Been 3 times. The people are super nice. And the city is so clean.

I'm off to San Francisco on Saturday!

We looked at Portland but we decided we were too hipster to visit hipster capital in a sorta hipster-ironic way :p

Have any of you seen the new crocs? They have fresh styles with that famous feel-good power inside. They are exceptionally light. The look smart, simple, stylish and also have a massage-pod footbed that feels good. Check them out.
