So I love ALL three Beastie Boys, they all have their own style which makes the whole group unique and amazing.

But my favorite Beastie is Mike D.

His flow, style, voice, energy and delivery is flawless. In most songs especially in Hello Nasty, TT5B and Hot Sauce Committee I believe he stands out.

His style is so energetic and funky.

Do you think he could ever go SOLO? I mean I can see him making a solo Rap Album with some of the freshest lines we could ever hear.

Mix his voice and lines and delivery with some funky fresh beats and I believe it would be an amazing album.

One song sticking out in my head right now is: The Brouhaha

Just listen to Mike D's verses, I mean he MADE that song in my opinion.

What you guys think?

I'll admit, the Jewish Brad Pitt has something of a mass appeal

Mike is the mack but think his "sing songyness" was a regression.

Prime example, on Unite, he comes strong out the gate

"Goin off the hook like Latrell Spreewell I've got the ill technique . . ."

then, it falls off . . . "so you know ME be well"

Yeah, Mike Dino would make an interesting solo artist, but I don't think he has the voice to carry a whole album himself. I'm trying to think of his solo vocals - like Remote Control and Drums of Death. It's very good, but I don't know how a whole album would go.

MCA wouldn't ever go solo, in my opinion. He's in that "band mindset." Adrock has the biggest personality obviously, and I really like his hip hop beats. The only thing with Adrock, he sometimes gets lazy with his lyrics, like on Lee Majors:

"I hit 'em with the rhyme and the rhyme don't stop,
We got the beat and the beat go drop,"

I still think Adrock would make the best solo act. That's just the way it is, but I hear you on Mike D. He has really stepped it up on his lyrics over the past few albums.

I'm a huge Mike D. fan but then I think about his features on Unkle and Handsome Boy Modeling School songs and IMO he doesn't do well without the 2 Adam's.

See, I thought the Handsome Boy Modeling School track was dope as hell. He's just talking, but it works for that cut, in my opinion.

Yeah, your right. But back in the day I just wanted to hear Mike rap. The song is solid tho. Beat is ridiculous!

If any of the Beastie Boys were to go solo I'd want it to be Adrock and I think thats the consensus of the masses around here. Adrock's the man.

With that said, I dont think any of them are going solo on the wrong side of 40.

Well if not a full album, what about a single or mixtape? I think he's got the SKILLS to pay the BILLS ;)
