It's actually not exactly new De La. It's just Plug one and Plug two. Plug three is working on his own solo stuff in the meantime. So the two MC's are making their own shit, with the help of a couple DJs who won the DMC a few years back and in the meantime, Maseo is producing his own album.

That being said, everything I've heard so far is fucking awesome. I've actually ordered the LP just based on the twp tracks I've heard. I can't imagine it's going to be bad in any way. I look forward to getting it in the mail. If you're curious, they have a First Serve soundcloud page which has a few tracks you can check out and they have a Tumblr page set up and is pretty inspiring/hilarious.

Can't fucking wait to get this on wax...
De La has been #2 on my list behind the Beastie's for a long long time.

Think he's referring to this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImBJq-om-DM

Def not the most 'de la' track of theirs. But there's a deeper meaning here, it's not like they're talking about wasting money on hoes. They're saying to beware of the girls who are manipulative and use their bodies and flirting to get what they want just to leave you in the dust.

Not the best song obviously. But it's still got a tight beat. I hated this when I first heard it but in context of the album and a few lame relationships with girls who tried to pull this crap and failed (who try's to convince a broke wannabe DJ to buy them shit...nice try...next) it's grown on me.

Yeah the Goontime Mixtape? Is that what you're referring to? That shit was awesome. De La, teaching brainwashed followers what time it is since 198IWASINDIAPERS.

Can not wait to get this double 12" chunk of wax in the mail.

I don't think either of those dudes ever won any DMC titles. C2C (Pfel, Atom, Greem, 20Syl) won a bunch of team titles, and Birdy Nam Nam (Crazy B, Need, Lil Mike, Pone) won a team title the year before the C2C streak. Netik and DJ Fly have both won individual titles. I think that's about it for France in the DMCs.

I'm a massive de la mark, and I've had the first serve thing for a while and only listened to it once. I'm not mad at it, it's ok I guess. Word is that they're working with paul again for the new album.
