My parents bought us a puppy the day CYH came out. I remember my friend's response on the phone when I told him about the puppy: "What does it think of Check Your Head?"
For some reason that'll always be my 'day CYH came out' memory.

Anyone else have that 8-song (6?) sampler cassette? There was some copy on the cover that said if you knew the sample from the opening of Jimmy James, call or write to them and you'd win something. Talk about back in the day - when no one could Google the answer.

Man, I was living with my boy Larry and me and our friend Dave couldn't be seperated! We was tight as a drum, playing Mortal Kombat, dropping acid and listening to the Geto Boys and shit while I was trying to school them to other bands like Emerson, Lake and Palmer...Check Your Head brought all people together no matter what they listened to....Pass the Mic is STILL what I listen to when I fell too old at 39, bitches!!!!......

Wow, 20 years. I can't imagine my teenage years without CYH, it made such a huge and positive impact on me as a person, and still does. "All I ever really wanna do is get nice, get loose and goof my little slice of life."
