Our little Yauch community on facebook went from like 100 likes to 400 over night. I actually don't like that. When bad things happen people suddenly show up. I hope when we reach 800 it will be for good good good reasons. I am just blabbing right now... So anyway thank U Sunny. I will definitely try and snatch myself up one of these portraits. I just feel weird about some of this. I complained when this situation wasn't getting attention and now that it is I am still complaining. I told you that Sarah. Ha... oh well. ;)

KP's point is that this forum exploded when Yauch announced his illness. The good luck messages are all great, not saying they shouldn't of come.

But saying people join things for the wrong reasons because some discount may be involved then you open yourself up to your own agenda.

Some people who still post here are have been posting for pushing 15 years. There is already several beastie facebook pages - what was the motivation for another that you moderate? What made you only fish out the official online beastie community in 2010?

I'm 41 and have been a huge fan since LTI and go back to the alt.music.beastie-boys days, but I've rarely posted on here. I do read almost every day though. Does the fact that I don't contribute make me less of a fan and less "worthy" of taking action?

Especially sad that this thread was hijacked and turned into rag session.

I wasn't questioning worthiness. I was afraid about bad news bringing people together. If you decided to think otherwise it's not my problem. I have been worried about Adam since day one and most on here would laugh and say I am crazy. Obviously I wasn't.
