I mean, I think so many of the old schoolers here have blossomed into wonderful creatures. Everybody's so good-looking and happy, talented. geez, I hope nobody finds out about this site when anybody starts getting "for-real" famous...like with obsessive fans googling phrases or names, and then behold! a treasure trove of personal angst spanning years!

I am a failure, but it's nice to be included in a group of such esteem.

Like Bob also, I wasn't foolish enough to use my first name as an alias, talk about educational institutions I may of attended, cities I've lived or talk about any of my activities outside of the board so I should be OK too.

Safe.

Real talk, that's the nicest thing anyone's said to me in a while. You're mad funny and interesting, and easy on the eye. :o

Plus I was already old when I got here, so.

I use this site as a resume for jobs, first phone call at the graybar hotel and as a way to get swag in the champagne room.

membership has it's benefits, last i looked there are only 72,453 of us.

this place is a phenomenon. to think so many of us have communicated with each other for years to probably never meet in person, its strange. were this board disappear suddenly, i dunno.. it would be sad

ditto, dorothy. you guys are the tops

I like a steamy eyed board thread.

It's kinda crazy that I came here in my teens (although 19) and I'm now in my 30s. All that growing up on the board probably a lot more documented than any photos I may have or diaries I never wrote in.

I remember my first post was a "new here blah blah blah" thread that I posted in the wrong section. Since then I hardly remember a post I did 5 minutes ago.

I've never said anything of worth so I guess that counts me 'safe'.

its still the only board i really bother with, cba with facebook. BBMB really is good. I like that people offer advice and take the piss in equal measure. if someones being stupid, they will get told with humour.

and its pretty random, some wacky things have happened here that no other board i have frequented has come close to, and i have only been here 7 years. I do wish i had joined a lot sooner, i imagine some of you wish i had joined a lot later.

i wonder how much of a normal person i could've been if i didn't spend so much time during my formative years here

i probably would've found some other weird thing to get into like anime or something, this was probably the best case scenario

I was pretty drunk when I made this thread, but I stand by my words! Also, I'm pretty impressed that padster still has it in him to keep up a steady level of doucheness after all these years!

Actually, part of the reason I haven't been around in awhile is because I started to feel exposed, like I'd revealed waaaay too much of myself on here and had a minor freakout about it living in perpetuity. I guess I figured I'd just not add to it and let it fall off the end of the board. Oh well.

^ this, though I feel like anime might have been more socially acceptable to a larger peer group
