Adam Yauch

This is the one of the worst days ever. I have been a hardcore Beastie Boys fan for 25 years. They have had such a huge impact on my life. They kinda shaped the person that I have become today. The people that the Beastie Boys became later in their career ( With Such Positive & Good Values ) , have actually helped me to be a better person and great father to my boys & husband. Adam Yauch is and was a true hero of mine. I will never forget how cool he was to me when I was fortunate enough to meet him. Adam Yauch will always be remembered by me and the good times as a Beastie Boys fan will be cherished for the rest of my life. It really hurts me that I will never be able to take my 2 little boys to see a Beastie Boys Concert.

I don't know what to do about making any future Beastie Boys Compilations in the future. I feel that if I try to make a New Beastie Boys Compilation # 23 , that it will just be filled with tributes and newscast about Adam Yauch's Passing. It might be too hard for me , and other Beastie boys fans to watch. I think Beastie Boys Compilation # 22 should be the last. I would like to know how other fans feel about me making another one.

Adam " MCA " Yauch , I Ben Escobedo will never forget you and you will always be in my heart and mind. There will never be another MCA , you will be truley missed by every Beastie Boys fan.

This might be my last comment of the night especially since I have already hit the wine to help ease my nerves. (not really working but anyway.) I know everybody grieves in different ways and some people can easily immerse themselves in the music or video. I am not strong enough for that so if this is your last one then it's fine with me. Thank you for all of your hard work. I know you are a long time fan and so I say do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

Of COURSE you are emotional.

Don't make #23 right now.

And don't say #22 will be the last.

It's too raw.

Give it some time, Bender.

In a little while it might be OK again to pull out all those old tapes and give all the fans access to stuff we had forgotten about. And stuff we've never seen.

Through your collection you have the power to give us access to the man we are missing so much.

Do what you feel is right for you.

But whatever happens; keep the tapes and cherish them.

And never forget their are countless people out there who will never be able to express how much your compilations have meant to them.

We love you, Ben! And we are grateful for everything that you do.

You are such a kind person. Thanks for the good words. I will keep adding videos to my Vimeo Account from my Beastie Boys Video Collection. But I am just unsure about making another New Compilation of 2011 - 2012 stuff. But then a part of me is thinking that making one more with the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Stuff , Adrock on Top Chefs , some other rare unreleased footage and a tribute to MCA might be a good way to end it. I am still thinking about it.

After Thinking about Adam Yauch's Passing I am starting to realise that nothing is really going to change in a true Beastie Boys fan's Heart - We will always have Adam Yauch in our mermories and with the music that he and the Beastie Boys have created , and all of the Video Footage. There will just never be anything New. Adam Yauch may not be on this earth anymore - but if you think about it he will always be in the heart of his fans.

Ben; as I said; do whatever is right for you. You don't owe us anything. You need to make sure that whatever you do brings you comfort.

We will carry Yauch with us forever. One day my great-granchildren will be watching your compilations. Those videos will teach them about a truly heroic trio of men.........and the fans who loved them. I will never stop watching.
