Odd isn't. I drop in from time to time, but when this all happened the very first thing I did was log onto Beastie Free... It was oddly reassuring to see all these old names that I'd forgone for far too long.

Me too. When I first joined the board I'd just moved interstate and was feeling pretty isolated. This place gave me such a connection with people, that I stayed well beyond the time I felt comfortable being where I was physically. So thanks to the people of the board, you helped me through a difficult time in my life.

I haven't been here since 2008 i don't think. It's sad that it's taken something awful like this to tempt me back. It's touching to see everyone's response though, and it reminds me even more how important the Beastie Boys were to my teenage years.

I used to post regularly many years ago on here...When I first posted on the beastie boys forum, I don't remember the forum having separate topics, I remember it being just a series of posts. It must have been about 13-14 years ago...

i remember you from the imusic board, the one you're talking about having just a series of posts,. i used to post under -=TpK=- when it was still cool to add effects to your name to make it look more futuristic.

All those years ago do you remember when you were able to buy your own custom beastie boys anthology (with 2 cd's) around the time when The Sounds of Science was released? I thought it was pretty cool at the time :o .
