MCA tribute show

I contacted the head of my college radio station that I dj'ed at in the 90s about doing a MCA tribute show and she said yes. It's going to be Monday 5/7 6-7 EST. Heres the link to listen online http://wrkc.kings.edu/. I wish the show was longer but it's short notice. Post any requests in this thread and I'll try to play them.

I think iTunes has some of the clean versions of the albums. Maybe Amazon as well. I bought clean versions of Check Your Head, Ill Communication, and Hello Nasty (I think those were the three) from one of those two places to put on my sons' ipods (they are 7 & 10 yrs old). There's a clean version of Solid Gold Hits out there too, I believe.

If it's on YouTube you can rip it to mp3. Google "YouTube to mp3 converter." as simple as copy/pasting a link. All free, unlike iTunes.

cj I know I'm going to sound like a twit, but could you spin the original original version of Jimmy James? I always understood it being vocal-free to be MCA's original vision for the song, and it was very much his baby. And while it's hard to stomach, there is a very nice (albeit painful) poignancy about the absence of vocals.

Understand if this is a wack idea.

the plan is to put a list on my iphone via itunes and use that. i already have jimmy james on my list, but i will look for the instrumental for you. i have to play all clean stuff so it's not going to include all the trax i want to play. i know guys that do internet radio shows. i'm going to try to hook up with them so i can get more time and play (& say) anything....

maybe you can try a little bit of editing with a simple free music program, such as AcidPro or whatever. Just add an scratch or beep sound over the dirty words.
